Grandma - NieR Gestalt & Replicant Piano Collections, music by Keiichi Okabe, arranged by Masato Koda, played by Richard Yang on Yamaha N1X with Garritan CFX VST.
"Grandma" is definitely one of my favorites in the album. The rubato, jazzy runs, and powerful jumps, this piece has so much to offer. I've never played NieR before, so it's hard for me to imgaine why the piece is named "Grandma". By listening to the music itself, I don't believe anyone would associate this with "Grandma".

It sounds soo peacefully and retains emotion. I definitely see this being a boring song if one does not play with changing dynamics and tempo. You did these things of course and it was a great performance! Maybe I’ll give it a try some day.

Did you make it to 2:21? From 2:21 to 3:20 is definitely not peaceful.

Yes I watched the whole thing. I did not mean to say the the entire song was peaceful. The mood did change as the song felt dark and exciting. And the ending sounded sad, as if someone just died after some chaotic event (middle section of the song). I imagine these different scenes throughout the piece. It didn’t sound uniform throughout the song and your playing helped highlight the contrasting moods.

Piascore. The best app ever. It can turn page automatically by winking L/R eye. It can display 2 pages at once in landscape mode, etc. It’s a paid app, but you won’t regret it.
