My piano solo/cover of "Grandma", one of the many lovely soundtracks from the beautiful game, NieR. A seriously underated game in my opinion. A plotline full of feels...and the music is also full of feels. I highly recommend you check out the game and soundtrack if you haven't already!

@@parini8836 I actually played this at church a long time ago. Piano music is my way of praying. I just looped it for an hour playing and when I realized had a crowd just listening I messed up 😂

@@MrFredd38 that all depends on your effort honestly. You have to get to the point where your brain can separate your hands. The only way that happens is by practice. Everyone is different but it took me a couple years at the very least to play with my hands separated. And even now if I don’t practice enough they try to merge into sync again so I’d say practically for life you have to continually practice. I’ve known some people to play almost immediately with their hands separated so it’s all up to your ability and what you’re willing to do to attain the level of play you desire.

the part he plays with his right hand tends to pull on the tear ducts a bit. We lost my grandma last year, I love this track, I feel better when destruction is played after. But this song is beautiful.

This version is such a beautiful hommage to the OG. Honestly I prefer this version to the OST. The way you've incorporated the vocals into your play is absolutely perfect and suits the song so well. Just beautiful; goosebumps all over.

Beautiful dynamics across your notes. Some with the softest touch and others with more volume.I love Nier simply because I enjoy minor keyed songs or scores of this nature. They are just beautiful and are much more expressive than major melodies. Great playing. Just subscribed. Hopefully you use synthesia.

I can play the piano section almost perfectly of this, but adding those vocals ramps it up from a 2 in difficulty to a 20 for me. I kinda want to go back and try again though. Sadly I am super bad at reading music (something I want to work on), so I admittedly do a lot of it by ear, watching hands, and synthesia. :P

Been working on Shadowlord. I'm surprised how much progress I'm making at my skill level and being entirely self taught. I need to start improving my note reading though. Ended up buying the piano score book for Nier Gestalt / Replicant.

I've been playing for 5 months and I'm just starting to learn the first 20 seconds of this lol. Anything beyond that seems really hard. Even the first 20 seconds is something I can't do as quickly as needed so it's not really something I'm good at either. I feel like you need maybe a year to do this justice at all

wow I never saw someone replied, here I am one year later still listening to the song ! Unfortunately, I didn't do any progress at all, I didn't gave up at learning it one day, but soon after this I changed my mind and wanted to learn Clair de Lune by Debussy first because I really love that masterpiece and I found it a bit easier. The piano is still in my room but the main problem I'm facing is that I still can't read a music sheet and my computer science classes are taking my whoooooooooooole time :( I'm still happy to see that people cheered for me
