I believe a big reason for his reaction being that way is because he wasn’t home. And so he’s probably thinking it’s just any regular day, and then he walks in and sees his baby bloody and the mother is trying to keep her alive. That’s very, very traumatic, and will put anyone in pure shock. Both their reactions are completely normal, I think it’s just the fact that one was there from start to finish and the other was there for the aftermath.

I remember reading about this. If it weren’t for the baby girl’s mother, that baby wouldn’t have survived more than a few minutes. I couldn’t imagine watching my own helpless, defenseless infant experiencing being shot and losing so much blood. I’d be in shambles. I hope I would react the way this mom did. That mom saved that poor baby’s life. Then, the way the mom and dad were both hysterical, shows that this little baby girl has two parents who both love her immensely. Love saved her life and love is all she will ever know her entire life. Those parents will guard her with their lives forever after going through this, and trust no one. I couldn’t imagine what this must have been like. That baby girl is strong and extremely lucky that the shot wasn’t immediately fatal and that her mom’s love saved her life.

Our son cracked his head open and even that was....bad....this i can't imagine. Thankfully he was okay, but he bled alot, and seemed to be fading out of consciousness. His brother is slightly autistic and is hard to deal with alot of the time, but when this happened, he was really really helpful and guided the first responders around the house, he was incredible when it happened.

If something terrible were to happen to your own child, you would probably find that the overiding instinct to protect baby would automatically kick in. Doing what needed to be done would instantly take precedence over everything and your own fear and panic would take a back seat. You would make that phone call, put pressure on any bleeding, recognise your shaking and sobbing as just reaction, and do what you had to do to maintain your priority of keeping baby alive and safe. I sincerely hope nothing like this ever happens to any of us watching this video. It was a terrible, terrible thing.

"Criminally insane" To qualify for that category to reduce or alter the sentence, the person must display that they are incapable of a moral compass. The interrogators understood the assignment and made sure to probe her into revealing that she does have a personal view on right and wrong. That makes her a criminal with mental insanity. That's prison with medication, not institution with doctors.

The mother of the baby was so strong trying her best to explained and also help her baby. The screams when the dad came in were absolutely gut wrenching. Brought me to tears immediately hearing those wails of pain. Seeing their child (let alone their BABY) in that situation is something no parent should see or experience. Hearing the 911 call, and the desperation in both parents' voices gave me chills! Its amazing the baby survived, thank God! There is a special place for people like this woman.

This was 100% a HATE CRIME! This monster of a human says so in no uncertain terms. She didn’t want the mother or her baby in her family. She was angry and took it out on the most vulnerable person in that house. She knew what would torture the mother of the child more than anything and that was taking the life of her baby. she’s obviously very ill…i couldn’t seem to shake the idea that her rants hold truth in anger for her ancestors. American history is dark and terrible. Not an excuse to try to kill a baby in 2024, but the frustration of not being able to afford to live (along with a huge percentage of black families in America), is enough to drive anyone insane. People are homeless, starving, unable to access healthcare, killing themselves on drugs while others have enough money for 10 lifetimes. I hope she finds help. That baby is a miracle.

Firstly regards to all the real victims here. The baby and it's parents. She is no doubt GUILTY. That being said, it seems like she snapped! It's not normal behavior to smile after hurting a child. She's unstable & her talking to these officers was like a therapy session... This could have been prevented with a mental health welfare check and drug intervention. Therapy should be made more accessible to low-income families with a history of mental illness and drug use. Unempathetic people will only see the criminal side of things but it's clear there's more to this story.

It's not the same situation at all but my son had cancer a few yrs ago. &Watching helpless as he fought for his life had me on my hands and knees in a hospital bathroom begging God to switch our places and not to punish him for any of my sins.
