Hi Steve your work is very good and you explain clearly. This comment is for another video which had comments turned off. In the video you cut a copper tube about three inches long, the problem you had was with it clamped in a vice as you cut it the kerf closed up heres a possible solution. Put a dowel rod that’s size is as close to the inside dia as possible cut the same length as pipe. You should be able to use dowel multiple times.
