1 1/2 cups nuts or seeds of your choice
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup melted coconut oil. Vegetable oil or olive oil
1/2 cup honey, real maple, or maple flavored (pancake) syrup
1 to 2 tsp vanilla
Dried fruit (cut small), like raisins, craisins, dried bananas, apricots, etc.
After it's cool, you can add other items like chocolate chips, coconut flakes, and even spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, or pumpkin pie spice. Make It just the way you like it.
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, combine the first 4 ingredients and stir until everything is well mixed.
3. Pour in the liquid ingredients and mix well.
4. Spread evenly across the baking sheet.
5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, stir halfway through. It will get more crispy as it cools.
6. Let cool completely, then add the dried fruit and any other ingredients you want.

That looks yummie! A great way to use up those last bits of things lying around( nuts, chocolate chips, coconut 🥥 in yours) and make it your own. Gumby approved!👍

Great, easy, pleasing the grandsons. Pecans, molasses, apples, lots of cinnamon, nutmeg, coconut chunks, and raisins. And a good spike of salt. I have also thought of butter extract?

That looks so wonderful!! I copied down your recipe & cant wait to make some. I love granola, but it is expensive & most have extra ingredients I don't like, this seems very simple & much healthier. Thank You 😊

I "have too!" make/eat the Chewy Bars now. I have no teeth. I used to buy and eat the Granola Clump Cereal. I do enjoy the granola on yogurt with fresh fruits! But nuts "have to be" ground for me. Extra Toasting is also avoided.

I like granola in my vanilla Greek yogurt. I usually buy Great Value brand ($2.67 for 11 ounces) vs up to $5 for name brand . Sometimes Winn Dixie has the Post on sale BOGO ... $5 for one bag, so $2.50 each. If I'm there I will buy it.

Love making my own Granola. Ran out & didn’t have time this week to make it so bought some at the store & price was thru the roof I will always make time now to make my own . Thanks for the tip on spraying the glass with oil! Question regarding the dehydrator, is the way “dry roasted” peanuts are made? I always learn something from you thanks. Oh how are the chicks doing & the one that needed extra nutrition? Oh I add flax to my granola

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. My little chick is getting stronger. I think it will be a while, but I feel like she'll get back to the coop eventually. I have to make more Granola today. It's funny because I took flax seeds out to add to it. I give my flax seeds a little crush first because I read once that they can't be digested properly when they are whole. As for dry roasted peanuts, I never thought about it before, so I looked it up and found this: Dry roasting is a process by which heat is applied to dry foodstuffs without the use of oil or water as a carrier. I hope that helps.

@@2leelouCreates yes that helped reg dry roasting, I'll try and research if dehydrating is the same as it uses heat also. I also heard you need to crush flax seed! Happy to "Baby" chick is getting stronger she must miss her flock. Thank you for replying Please never apologies I don't look at my email as often as I should. Have a great week
