The Bowerman TC was basically RIP when Jerry took the head track and cross country job at Oregon.

Agreed, Jerry has his hands full with the Ducks. He's well suited for the National level, but needs to improve on injury prevention. BTC should find a World and Olympic level coach + Nike's unlimited resources to put USA on top!

I have only ever listened to the free podcast ... are Rojo and Wejo brothers? Also, Grant Fisher is the pride of Canada.

The Bowerman Club seems to be a time trial club, albeit a very good one. Could this be Grant wanting to actually race?

OK, so he has set American records - but an awful lot of national records were set last season. Combination of fast tracks and fast shoes. Maybe he just felt he stood more chance of winning big in another situation. Yes, there is always the risk that he will tank and his performances will fall off a cliff - but you have to take chances if you are aiming at the biggest prizes. Top level runners with years of experience mainly train themselves. A "coach" is someone that they talk things over with from time to time, not someone who lays down every step they take every day and time every rep in every session.

Take a look at the Kenyan's and their World and Olympic medal count. THEY DO have coaches that "lay down every" workout. Look at the NN Team. According to Kipchoge, he doesn't even know what the workout is going to be until that actual day! Achieving American records is great! But it's time to start competing at the World and Olympic level. Time for USA to switch gears and level up. USA is resourceful, we can figure this out! Let's do this!

That’s where I’d go if I was him. Proof of concept has been established.

M.Smith would be a step up from BTC, however I think NN would be even better for Grant! They already know how to medal at Worlds and Olympics. How many World/Olympic medals have the Smith runners achieved? He's one of the best in the USA though, and seems like a really good guy! He gets the top recruits in US but has he developed any of them to make it on the medal stands at Worlds or Olympics? I know he's working on it and I hope he gets there but catching NN runners is not going to be easy.

Is this part of the Friday 15? When is it going to be released to Apple podcast this week?

Figured out the problem. I got the new iPhone and it did not update the supporters club podcast link correctly. Anyone else who runs into this you have to unfollow the show and refollow with the link you were sent back when you joined the supporters club.
