I love your unbiased opinion when you review boots and shoes, for someone who cannot spends money on quality boots that often, your eagle eye and middle of the road takes always help me when planning a next purchase.
Grand Stones are amazing. They’re made right with American materials but assembled in China thats it. They’re easily a $600-$700 boots but priced right. I’m done with Red Wing & Nicks seriously. Better materials than Red Wing. Nicks are awesome but I’m not waiting 8 months for a pair of boots when I can buy quality thats in stock.
Its amazing quality for price. Bought 2 pairs on black friday and another pair on b-grade sale. First two pairs cost me 290 each and b grade cost me 240. Still little more than thursday boots but leather quality and construction is night and day.
Great video Jimmy, well said especially about the shoe opening, that’s not something I’ve mentioned but definitely spot on observation!!! And thanks for the shout out!!🤗🤗🤗🤗 you the man man!!!
Hi, are these still holding up pretty good? I am looking into buying them, any chance you know how much they weigh each? I am sensitive to heavy shoes. Thanks!
The one at the end I was holding her so she was super close to the camera 😂 thanks. I decided just to keep this one instead of re do the whole thing. It’s very authentic hahaha, and lends to my low budget style
These shoes look amazing!!! Only thing missing is a view of them being worn on your feet. Any way you could add a picture of them on Instagram like that?
Not on my Instagram but there are plenty of photos of them if you dig for it, here’s a shot from Grant Stones page instagram.com/p/CTXVSmqnc4R/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Ah, Thursday boots? I think I figured it out. It’s well known that Thursday pays some social media influencers and you tubers for their reviews, so a lot of the bigger names have biased reviews of them. People often say that their quality far exceeds their price point, and I agreed until I had these GS in hand. Having had over 20 pairs of $600+ boots I would say Thursdays do not exceed their price tag. Grant Stones definitely feel more like a $600 shoe then a Thursday feels like a $400 shoe.
@Trinity Handmade I have Thursday boots, and I'd say they're probably a $250 value at $200 for the presidents and captains. The vanguards I'd say are worth around $300; the important thing is to get the horween the leathers with them. I see them as being a good value, but they can't compare to my GS, RW, AE, but those cost way more
Those were super cool! I’ve seen a few people say that theirs just shipped so maybe keep an eye out. Might be some bad sizing and a second hair pair could pop up!
Glad to see you do this pair. These have been on my "Want To Buy" list for a little while now. I think these shoes just look great. I have 2 pair of Grant Stone boots and have been itching to buy more because their quality at that price point have been fantastic. I've just spent too much money on these lately so have to slow down a little. Eventually, I'm gonna own a pair of these. I think that Badalassi Leather looks amazing.
It’s a really great color, lucky for you this is a pretty core shoe to Gs so I don’t think they will be going anywhere anytime soon! Save your Pennie’s and get them when you can. It’s a great looking and comfortable shoe!
Good timing on this video. I'm looking for a nice shoe that I could wear with jeans. Like you, I just have boots. I really like the Badalassi leather as well. I'm really considering these for sure. Really looking for a boot as well in the Badalassi leather.
Thanks dude I really appreciate that, I don’t try to give out a ton of facts or even very much opinion. I mostly just share the things I like and have a chat. Thanks for continuing to watch my friend!
@@trinityhandmade3864 I really appreciate your style and information, too. Great product shots and great information. And for David regarding buying a pair of Grant Stone’s, go for it. I own 5 pair and the QC on them is phenomenal, and I’m very picky. I own 1 pair of Alden Indy’s (in No 8 cordovan with the hand stitched moc toe), and I had to send back THREE pair before I got ones made with quality I could live with, and had to wait for 6 months for them to come in. They were great at The Shoe Mart, but it was an experience I never had with GS. And unlike Alden, GS actually use real leather heel stacks and a leather midsole.
The badalassi leather is amazing. I have the diesels in the saddle tan and they're my favorite GS leather so far... The leather is stiff at first but they mold to your feet. Customer service with GS is phenomenal as well. Don't forget to show some love to your dome boots though. I am guilty of not wearing them as much as possible.
Grandpa called, he says he got a notification that the shoes he ordered were delivered but he can’t find the package. When you are done with shooting your video, can you take them up to his room. Thanks.
Are you on instgram? Post them on your story and tag me @nerdin_with_boots and I’ll re share. Stitchdown premium has a great marketplace but it’s $5 a month. The app “Grailed” is like eBay but for mens clothing, it works well but they take a fee
Hey man. I always throw u a thumbs up in your vids. We are the same boot size I have a wonky left foot that’s a little different I just deal w it lol. Anyway if you are getting rid of boots where do you sell them normally. I’m 10D same size I would like to buy a pair of to you get done w. I can give u my email if that helps.
Hey Matt that’s awesome! Sounds good, I don’t have anything currently I’m trying to move along but that always changes haha. My email is trinityleatherco@gmail.com I usually just sell my boots on Instagram or the Stitchdown discord. I’ve tried eBay and Grailed in the past but prefer the other methods. Thanks so much for the views Matt!
