An interview with Juliana a performer and musician about her experience with Granulamatosis with Polyangiitis.
This interview is about 2 hours of hammering out every detail we could think of to explain the story. The idea was to put something out there for anyone in a similar situation to find and feel some visibility or even clear up some confusion. It was so confusing for us for so long, and still is sometimes. If this interview can find its way to just one person at the early stages of the same situation it would have been worth it.
The subject is about vasculitis, or specifically - Granulamatosis with Poliangiitis - AKA “wegener's disease” after the nazi scientist that discovered it. I must admit, Nazis aside, the name was much easier to say and spell back then.
I wanted the final video to be 3 minutes long, after whittling it to 12 minutes I realized I had murdered the soul of the interview. Most people wont watch it because of the run time, but for the audience who is in a similar situation every minute will be important. It also allows the interview to be about more then just GPA and focus on resiliency in dealing with the darkness of the unknown.

Great job explaining! I have it also. 20 years with the last 5 have been the most intense with doctors, meds and scary experiences. You’re handling this so well. I take it one day at a time. Your explanation of ear, balance and eye was so relatable! I wish you the best! Just know you’re not alone with GPA and I get it! Unique, that is what we are😊

Yes, excellent explanation. I can relate, I'll had GPA for 3+ years (like you, looking back I note 'weird' symptoms that I now wonder might have been the real start....). I am glad you are coping. It's certainly a twisting path, and seems mostly up hill. Best wishes, and thank you for sharing.

Thank you Julianna for this clear and honest explanation of GPA. I learned a lot. I so appreciate you being forthright and vulnerable. I am much impressed. 💟Phyllis ( I am a friend of your parents)
