Nice to see you back. I've tried to document my projects but documenting my projects is another project I haven't really finished. In fact I have so many incomplete projects that I admire you actually get yours done!
the documentation question is hugely important to any engineer or developer, whether they write doco in plain english or not. work, especially when it becomes an art, can sometimes be all about hiding your working out. it's a strange paradox, & begs the question as to whether the most beautiful things are just accidents happening totally at random
@@Richtr8A bit of a departure for me in terms of RU-vid vids eh? Without the investment tied up in it I’m not so interested in the risk of that anymore. I told my Mother to get out of my life mid ‘22, which would have been a shock to her, and we haven’t spoken since. I’ve also come out of my shell, and grown a lot in that time, which still wouldn’t have been easy in her presence. There’s a cost to it, and some unfounded guilt, but it’s the way things will stay.
Hi Break, Your weaknesses? If I could achieve 1/10 of your skill level I would be amazed. Ignore negative criticism and invite positive criticism, that way we all learn and grow as a community. I really look forward to your videos, scripted or otherwise. And Hey who makes the perfect product first time? Scope creep is inevitable as initial unthought about functionality becomes a possible improvement to the original project. Both you and your projects are just amazing. Your life story sounds very similar to mine so I'm with you all the way😀
Hi :) The ways I’m alluding to being weak/deficient isn’t to do with hobby, but day to day life. I’m kind of on the OCD end of ASD. I ate the same Chicken & salad roll daily for no less than three years. By the end, I was buying it, and storing it in the fridge until I could stomach eating it. All that without simply eating something else. Since becoming aware, I still do same foods, but it lasts six months rather than years. I’m not typically criticised about anything, BUT every Autist’s mask is constructed to avoid negative judgement from others (and even perhaps to protect others from fear) because the behaviour of the true self attracted negative judgement while young. Unmasking is a term that describes “unsupressing” the true self. Like I say, the whole time I’ve done the YT thing, I’m showing you my strength, not the ways that my life is disordered. The situation was much worse before I knew what I was. Then I thought I was simply a fuckup who was good at a couple of things that can be used to impress others, and be judged favourably. This was also likely initially judged positively by the matriarch, and was allowed to continue.
@@BrekMartin Sorry, I wrongly assumed you were alluding to weaknesses in your electronics skills. OCD - confer, must have order-confer, Same foods-confer, Only wanting to show sucess and not failure-confer. Specific reasons for why I exhibit these traits -unknown; in this respect you are way ahead of me in the understanding of, why me? However, your opening up on YT has been an inspirational moment for me on the path to disovery. Thank you
@@isoguy. I wonder if you’d like a channel called Dave’s Garage…. As disinterested as I am in Windows and Microsoft, I relate to his Autism content strongly. It’s probably obvious the electronics is much less important to me lately, so I’m happy if I can use this channel for anything more useful, but I don’t think it a good idea to hijack my own topic to permanently bang on too much about it.
With a hammer or fire. It’s the last bit of entertainment I get out of it, and also stops me thinking about it. I won’t continue to think of improvements to hardware/software for a unit that no longer exists.
