Question: Wouldn't it be easier and kinda neater to use a table of signs?
@AnomaBasupran

In that case, we would only get points. We wouldn't know how to join those points - with a straight line or a curve..

I use your videos to help me prep for my calc test. Even though you don't use the same methods I'm used too (I use number lines to find concavity, max/min, etc.) you help me understand the concept better. Thanks.

Great as always. You factored out twice. - What's your advice/intuition NOT to continue and calculate straight forward... and so only get one of the two critical points? Both for f'(x) (1) and f''(x) (2/3).

@MashHanny because we dont know wat happens before and after it. if your working against time, personally i think it would be safe to just assume it to be an inflection point but if u are asked to justify ur answer u have to show the behavior before and after 0.

I think something like a mnemonic, a checklist, or a table would be better. That way, you have an organized method to perform every time. If I fill a page of paper with everything scattered like this I will just get lost.

@joeverzino

doing it one graph at a time, x to the 4 is a parabola up at 0. 4x squared is a parabola down because of the minus sign, and the +2 pushes downward graph up. You get a parabola with center section removed by another parabola. To make the 2 curves smooth, find the points where both graphs are equal to smooth out. What can you learn by the function that made this function, the integral 3/5 times x to 5-4/3x to 3 +c.

at critical point (0,2) when we test the concavity(aka nature) of the point we saw we had a change from positive to negative which means its a maximum point, but Mr. Khan said its a point of inflexion, however a point of inflexion occurs when the sign of f^(x) DOES NOT change when we are testing the concavity(aka nature) of the critical point but the signs changed in the question and he still says its a point of inflexion...can you explain

Suggestion: draw a chart of the signs or draw the number lines to avoid any confusion. I saw your other videos (about inequality), you also didn't write number lines or chart of signs. It makes some of the students confuse.

@kpxmofu15 I dont think its possible to graph function using derivative, for example u were given derivative 2x, it can be derivative to x^2 or x^2+z (where z is a real number), and even though they have the same derivative, they are different functions.

or to the contrary, with the absolute certainty and rationality of the afterlife, you will face extreme and unbearable regret and despair as you are left with the memories and opportunities you had in this lifetime, while others will rejoice at their choices. Rationale being this:How is it that tyrants can get away with their actions and the oppressed will remain in a state of deprived justice? Full justice will be served and people will get their full recompense (rewarded/punished)
