Firenzecolor Grassello Fino Polished Venetian Plaster 3 coat application steps for a beautiful shiny wall or ceiling finish in the historical tradition of Italian Lime Plaster taught by our friend Gian Sagasti of Exotic Wall Finishes.
This is the first video I seen from the USA that actually the guy knows how to venetian plaster the correct way,,,well done my friend ....greetings from Athens Greece
What I dont like in most walls I see done by most applicators, is this repetitive left to right or right to left movement, which is busy and truly not Organic as it is done in Italy. I dont know the gentleman doing the sample, but Venetian Plaster is an Art, in order to render something truly beautiful, you must be an Artist, not just an Applicator, it happens with any Plaster, whether is a Lime-based/Acrylic, Metallics or French Clays. The Italian Stuccos can truly look awful if a color wash is done as a top coat. I have seem Lime Paint done by painters and we had to redo the entire room. That has been my observation!!
Very proud to have been a student at this class room i highly recommend to anyone who is thinking about it also the Marmarino tools are very high quality!
I am a plaster and have been asked to venetian plaster a wall but never used it wouldn't know where to start, are there any local courses near the southwest?
Yes. Over a polished surface, clear wax can easily be applied and also buffed with a rag, if that is your preferred method. Metallic waxes, like in some of our other videos, usually look best when applied by trowel over these kinds of surfaces. Over a textured surface, it can depend on the look desired, but a sponge or rag is usually fine.
FIRST VIDEO WHERE SOMEBODY IS ACTUALLY EXPLAINING AND NOT GATEKEEPING HIS SECRETS! GOD BLESS U THIS VIDEO WAS VERY EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIVE! THANK YOU
