I use Venetian plaster on papers as book covers. Now I understand that I haven’t pushed it far enough. Thank you for showing and sharing what a professional does. ❤
Remember this is a 2ft x 2ft board...its a different ball game on big walls. Keeping a wet, organic edge is crucial...but takes skill if you're working off of scaffold coming down . Good luck !!!

With Venetian plasters, they're drying type muds like normal all purpose joint compound, right? Not setting like Easysand, Durabond, or actual plasters like Diamond Veneer or Structolite? So the second coat beyond color depth's purpose is mainly to fill in any holidays/etc from your first coat?
Giancarlo, I am having a hard time keeping scratches of my grassello when burnishing and compressing. Am I to early, to late or the angle of the burnishing trowel? Thanks so much. Love your stuff

I've never tried this before but I definitely like the finish look of it. I do drywalling for a living but I've never had the chance to do a Venetian plaster accent wall.
have you done it yet? I fee like a drywaller would find it super fun as apposed to the usual generic perfect walls! You get to be an artist and apply the skills you already have
