Replacing a Grasslin time clock in your saltwater chlorinator? Here are the instructions on setting the clock. Grasslin time clocks are available from Direct Pool Supplies.
I have this timer on my radiator in my flat which gets FREEZING. I've never known how to set a timer and no other videos/tutorials explained it clearly enough. This one did. Thank you for warming up my home!
Brilliant video. With gas prices soaring we'd had a Grasslin time switch fitted several years back for the common parts radiators in our little ten flat block. The fitter left no instructions and left the mode switch at always on and the on/off switches all reversed, as if in were on! No wonder our gas bills seemed high and I'd kept the boiler temp and radiator thermostats really low! Thank you.
I just resorted to this vid, very handy because I did not understand what the little white switch did and I think I had it in the wrong position before. Thank you for this very helpful explanation.
thanks for this video, my timer has little clock hand inside, the clock didn't move from the initial set up. I am not sure if the timer working at all. it comes up at night when I set it off.
do you have the wiring diagram for setting this up in a unit? - i have 3 wires that are suppose to go into this timer but it had 5 prongs. i'm not sure where the three plug in to.
Active & neutral go to the motor. The other two go to the switch. Three terminals on the switch. One is a common where one wire must go, then the last wire goes to either of the other two terminals, this depends if you want the clock to switch the motor on if the lugs on the clock are pushed either in or out. There are symbols on the back of the clock to show you the motor and switch terminals. If unsure see an electrician.
if you adjust the timer without the switch in the timer position will this break the timer? Moreover is there a situation where a user could break the timer whilst attempting to adjust the time/set it up?
Hi Jack, Yes, you can adjust the clock with the switch in any position. The only way you can really damage the clock is if you turn it the wrong way. Only adjust the time by turning the face clockwise.
Having all the tabs set all in one direction does not allow the timer to work. The idea of the tabs is to set the start and stop times of the appliance that is connected to the timer.
Repeating same thing more than several times. I was waiting for the time line talking about the middle switch. Final found it. Very much annoying at the start of the video as it repeats the same things time and time again. Thanks anyways.
