Yeah that scene outside the Greek that took away their best west coast venue a year later. At least I got 2 Greek runs behind the belt.

I lost track because all of the 80 s I was backstage almost all of the 80 s I think I found a ticket stub from 89 ! So I know it’s been a lot because I used to hitchhike to some of the shows close by to Maine ! I have so many that I have lost track of how many but I do know it was over a 100 at least !

No doubt 88 was special Jerry was sober so they say he played like it i was so lucky to start following each show from 87-95 aftet Brent died it was never the same sad to say god bless you my deadhead friend

every time spring comes around i get in the mood for the dead i miss being on the road with them

I miss the Gratefuldead so much it’s drove me crazy but for Dead & Co. i don’t know what I would of done ? So lost when Jerry was gone !

That's better than when the doses are so good that you heard the most intense magical music but received tapes later and the tapes seem like the music is from an entirely different show. I don't mean bad but what you heard wasn't in the recordings. On a different note if I have surgery and between anesthesia and scolpomine patches, I've heard Dead shows or Beatles albums come through a blowing fan or a November storm blowing out on Lake Superior. I turn the fan off, music stops, turn it on and starts again. The November storm occasion that I'm thinking of might've been acid induced.

@@dannygagliano237 Yeah, I don't want to piss on the majority of shows I saw (which were all on the East coast)! But I do reserve "best" for the Greek Theater at least---mostly because it's really small, the smallest venue I ever saw them.

Oh no doubt they always performed great there mainly because it was in their backyard lol...

Yes indeed. Was at this run and saw JGB there that year, too. Fast forward 25 years or so and I happened to catch Thievery Corporation and Massive Attack at the Greek. Wonderful place to see a show.

Yeah! It’s WAAAY up there… Idk quite enough about chord theory etc to fully understand the potential for full flight that the Scarlet/ Fire transition allows, but this is a serious example of the inherent magic of the transition and the potential of a relatively simple and repetitive song like Fire , in the hands of the pros. This is friggin’ hot! Greek was magic always, I imagine. I saw a couple there.🙏Def. a great time to be alive. And really what song is more fun than Women R Smarter to follow?( it’s a short list( I have my theories about their top 5 FUN songs , but I always write too much🙄🤷🏻… y’all have that figured out, anyway😏)

Did you have a ticket or did you stand around on the parking lot where they put sound speakers. My fraternity house is up in Berkeley I had some time after my repeat junior year at Vermont academy to get there.
