I was there, and the night before there, too! The first Rex Benefit shows. Regular show tickets that year were about 10-12 bucks, and the face value for these shows was $25! Lucky me... at the band's 2200-seat home venue I scored face value miracles on the sidewalk out front both nights! Oh, to be 22 again!
I’m an old man now by most folks “standard” I guess Been “on the bus” for a LONG time In short I could say the “expected” sayings but I say this (for what it’s worth, can’t be much I reckon) but the past several years…..the world has gone bat shit crazy. So you posting this & all the others is like therapy for me Thanks Mean it Y’all stay safe out there!
A stunning and legendary show as many of them were during this period. For me '82-'85 were some of the Dead's best years. Two and half to three hour shows, just look at the set lists. I can't get no satisfaction either. It was a great, amazing time, to be alive. Thanks for sharing with us. 🤪 Jerry is God. LSD saves. 🦍Not Fade Away 🦍 💛
