Brian - soulful, incomparable voice and musicality. John's immortal song, Grateful --- it should be Thanksgiving Day's theme song all over the world. What a marvelous combination: Brian and John Buccino's moving masterpiece of a song. We're so grateful for this combination, a gift that doesn't stop giving!
This has been a song that for years makes me give thanks for the things that truly mean the most. A song which forces me to readjust my priorities, keep my head to the sky, take a deep breath and think about those less fortunate than myself. Job well done Brian and TYVM for the post saintjaques101 ... this musical offering deserves a standing ovation !!!
Once again this year, David Kenney of WBAI followed his tradition of playing several versions of this profound John Bucchino composition on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. And will continue to play one each week until the New Year. I cannot thank Mr. Kenney enough for introducing me to this remarkable song. Likewise to Mr. Bucchino who so beautifully wrote this piece from his own heart. So many wonderful artists have recorded it. Mr. Mitchell's voice again does the song justice here.
My heart sings this song daily! When I first heard it on the radio via internet, I ran to my computer to find out who was singing it but it ended before I got there. I googled and found your RU-vid post. I am GRATEFUL you included the lyrics. I have shared it with family and just today on facebook. I am truly, duly grateful for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness...and for the joy of love and the thrill of survival! TBTG (Thanks Be To God!) And, THANK YOU, again, for sharing!
A great rendition of a great song. Only one problem: perhaps it would be a good idea to credit the composer/lyricist John Bucchino. Nowhere is he mentioned here and that, Mr. MItchell, borders on the most 'ungrateful.'
Wow, what a bit of snark aimed at Mr. Mitchell -- how do you reason he is responsible for how a U Rube channel posts a lovely song that blesses all who WILL hear. How many artists do you hear that announce the composer prior to performing? That knot in ur undies must really be something.
@@janadkins-pont3465 I remember a Helen Reddy hit named "Peaceful", I don't think she gave any credit to the composer Kenny Rankin. They are both gone now.
