YEEESSSS!!! Also I can’t recommend checking out the second movie enough, in approaches the first movie from a new angle, and improves upon the original in almost every way. If you loved this movie then 2 is integral. Love that you finally checked it out. Edit: should clarify that I don’t mean 2 is even better than the original, it has its moments, but it’s more so that they spent more time improving and adding to the narrative of the original that the overall narrative falls a bit shy of the mark on its own. Hard to properly explain but if you watch it you’ll get what I mean.

I saw it when I was 17... it was the movie that made me fall in love with urban exploration, haunted asylums and mentally disturbed souls...the concept is very cliché, but damn,,,it's totally effective. If you want end with a paranoid episode and putting the aluminum hat , I recommend the mockumentary found footage films : The Conspiracy-2012 The Banshee Chapter - 2013 as always all the best for you rob, thanks for the video :D

One of my favorite channels !! Dude, you got to do these reactions in the dark . When this movie came out, i got pizza and watched it with a bunch of my little cousins who spent the night. It was a summer night so the windows were open , I had to close them because they were all screaming!!! I thought the Neighbors were going to call the cops 😂😂 It was a great time !!!

Definitely one of the classic found footage films! You gotta react to Ti West’s ‘The Sacrament’, its another found footage film too. Another recommendation, “Found Footage 3D”, it might be low budget but I assure you it’s pretty solid.

Grave Encounters is my 4th favorite found footage horror movie after Noroi: the Curse, Rec and Cloverfield because it basically makes fun of one of my favorite paranormal shows Ghost Adventures and the character of Lance Preston is an obvious parody of Zak Bagans.

100% bagging on Ghost Adventures with Zak Baggins, Ghost Hunters, et al. The opening is pretty brilliant satire. ;) I love this movie so much. One of my favorite found footage flicks. Up there with As Above So Below, The Pyramid, The Dinosaur Project [non-horror, but good], etc.

To me, this movie is so much better than Paranormal Activity. Partly for the great satire, and then the complete script flip over to horror in the second act. But also 'cause it actually took some chances and did things "that paranormal activity refused to do" [or whatever]. Actually went for some visualized ghosts as opposed to everything being invisible or off-camera. And managed some great scares and practical effects. CJ [TJ?] or whatever his name was getting pulled into the bathtub of blood and just disappearing... Grade A horror stuff... ^_^

@@therobw lol that's cool then. I didn't hate it, but it was more something to do with one of the characters I was rooting for and the direction I'd have preferred it to have gone. BTW, I live about an hours drive away from the location of that place. It's called 'Riverview Hospital' and was a real hospital for the mentally ill. Unfortunately, it closed down around the time they made this film. Cheers.

I tried the Reese's butter cups with the chips in them. They are allright but because of the chip in them they fall apart to easy. Here's another found footage movie you may like it's called Evidence 2013. My only problem with it is the ending.

I favorite 2 because of that-- don't know if that's the consensus but 🤷‍♂ definitely recommend tho... the kills were nicer, effects hold up, and more than a few parts that were yeesh lol 👍there is specifically one moment of despair that I found pretty memorable... Don't expect the acting to be great and you'll enjoy it more lmao
