Grave of Charles Bronson and his wife Jill Ireland in Brownsville Cemetery in Brownsville, Vermont. Follow me on Instagram tampajay #charlesbronson #jillireland #vermont #famousgraves
Very cool. I ran into Mr Bronson in 1989/90 (I was 20) at a mall in Arlington TX. Apparently his wife Jill would receive cancer treatment at a facility in town. It was a weekday morning so not too crowded at Dillards. I looked up to see Charles Bronson shopping the men’s rack across from me! I said “Good to see you Mr Bronson”, and he politely greeted me back. I didn’t bother him but I did stay a safe distance back as he exited the store into the mall. It was greatness watching him walk through the mall toward the exit as people took double and triple takes. What a legend 👊🏻
He might've been the first action hero? Him and Steve McQueen are the first two I remember. Your dad had great taste in movies, he taught you well. Charle Bronson was one of the best! My two favorite movies are Breakout and Mr. Majestic. Makes me want to pull them out and watch them! Thanks TJ,
Very interesting. It's very sweet that Jill's ashes are buried with Charles. I believe they did love each other dearly. A shame that there's no marker for her there, though. Just a funny lil fyi, it's Red Skelton, (not Red Skeleton)... lol. That made me chuckle. Nice video about Charles. It's a lovely, serene place.
Thanks Jay, what a lovely tribute you paid to Charles who was in my favorite film of all time, the great escape . I saw your tribute by chance and it was so respectful done, best wishes Martin u k .
Hello "King Halloween"! 🎃 I was a big fan of Charles Bronson and Jill Ireland, too. They were both amazing entertainers. May they both continue to rest in peace. 🙏 Thank you for sharing. 😊 Stay safe, my friend.
I loved Charles Bronson's movies. He was such a great actor. I remember I saw the original Death Wish when it first came out and it greatly disturbed me because he made the situation seem so real, with the trauma and grief and revenge. Once again you are in a location I am familiar with. Mt. Ascutney is in the distance. I have old slides of my family skiing there in 1952, just before I was born. My mother's family was originally from the Winhall area of Vermont which is near Bromley and Stratton mountains. Vermont is so beautiful because most of it remains untouched and rural, unlike Massachusetts and other New England states. Thank you so much for sharing this. I hope you go back one day and explore other areas. Next time I hope you are able to take Cris with you. She would love it.
This video. I loved Charles Bronson and I loved his wife also , I’d never get to see their grave, it touched my heart, thank you for this beautiful video.
My mother would always tell me that poem. I think she knew I would visit her grave and wanted me to know it wasn’t necessary. I always visit, when I am able.
I loved him in "Death Wish". He played a real tough guy, cool and unflappable. That's right Jay, nobody truly dies, we are all conscious beings having a human experience. When our body dies the consciousness that we are goes back home to pure peace, love and joy. Don't take life too seriously, we are all here to experience the play of life and to recognise that we are all loving beings that cannot die.
I have always been a total Charles Bronson fan since the first time I saw him acting on TV when I was a small kid and then in movies. IMO the best 5-minute opening of a Western movie scene. 'Once Upon A Time In The West'!
Jay, how did you know Charles Bronson was one of my favorite actors? He was rough and tough! Besides the Death Wishes, Mr. Majestic and The Evil That Men Do is one of my favorite movies. Honestly, I've seen Jay about all, if not all of Charles Bronson's movies. I've even seen the look alike Charles Bronson movie.
Made me cry. I just finished watching From Noon till Three. You could tell they loved each other very much. What a beautiful resting place for these two.
Another great video Jay! My husband loves Charles Bronson movies too. We are going to look up this site since we are in Vermont often. Thanks for what you do.
Hey Jay ! What's up? Thanks for that awesome video and incredible tribute of the couple ! Hever heard of him before but now I'm kinda inspired and definitely will check Charlie Bronson movies !!!
My favorite Charles Bronson movie is Red Sun, I really liked the collab with Toshiro Mifune. Had always known I was named after Charles Bronson, but I had a thing for watching old Toshiro Mifune movies. So it was the best of both worlds for me lol.
Basically that poem on his grave, he is saying… “ I am in everything where life still continues on. I did not die, you shouldn’t grieve for me, I am still alive in nature and all its creation. 😌 it’s so beautiful. My first introduction to Charles Bronson was this film called THE WHITE BUFFALO (1977, western/ drama) back in the late 80’s when I was 8 years old. Also this is where I became a huge fan to the late Native American Actor Will Sampson ( Muscogee Creek native from Oklahoma). I look up to this guy as a kid and still to this day he is my hero in so many ways. 😊
The fist I saw of Charles Bronson was in "The Great Escape" in 1963. I was 12 years old and was very impressed with the movie which I recently bought on DVD. Thanks for your video.
Nice!! I just completed a video finding Bronson's childhood home and the mine he worked in Pennsylvania. I was staying in Vermont a few weeks ago, 15 miles away from this grave but didn't realize he was buried there until I returned home.
My favorite Charles Bronson is "From Noon Till Three" also starring Jill Ireland. Jill also sang the theme song of the movie (Hello and Goodbye). She had the voice of an angel.
Great video, that's Mount Ascutney by the way. Was this shot before or after the recent flooding up there? Nearby Okemo Mountain in Ludlow, Vt. really got hit hard.
Bronson is one of my favorites too. One of my favorite films of his is Red Sun, a unique spaghetti western with a samurai in it. Check it out if you haven’t seen it.
Jay, very strange dude, you must be my twin brother. Like you I love Horror movies and Charles is my favorite actor. I to had to go see him in Vermont and also met him filming Death Wish 3 and got to talk with him on set in East NY Brooklyn. Got to meet Michael Winner and Many Fracker as well. Watched them film the scene when they threw one of Frackers boys off the roof. Also watched scenes when Charles comes out of dark alley ways which was great. I also have pictures of them on set. Also funny I live right near the Ma Barker house and take my boat out on Lake Weir where the house used to be. Lastly I did have to take a small plastic flower from the one of the 2 Urns and am looking at it right now!
Charles was a damn good guy in the movies and he was all about respectful of women . His wife Jill was his Love of his life . . He is my altime favorite movie actor.
I had a summer place in the town he would spend time in. I would see him around town I would wave to him he would wave back. One time I was in back of him at the post office and had a great talk with him but not about his movies. Great guy and actor.
That’s absolutely amazing. Would’ve loved to of met him. Thank you for sharing. That town was so beautiful. I stopped in to the grocery store right after this video to get a drink of water. It was so nice. I would live there.
My favorite actor and actress! May they rest in peace! So beautiful a place to represent their life and their love for each other! 🙏🙏♥️♥️😇Marcie Sellers
Charles was a great example of what marriage was! He was my elder brother's most favorite actor, to such a point that we still call my brother Bronson!
