This was obviously quite slow but it's more about making it entertaining rather than going fast. Also I was gonna cut out the deaths in the video but I kept them in so you can laugh at how bad I am
The fastest reaction times recorded for human beings is recorded at 101ms. This is when given a signal to click, and does not account for spotting and aiming towards an enemy. The jackal shot you in 83ms (1/60*5)
It's been so long since I've seen anyone play the game legit. And for doing this on legendary, you have my utmost respect. I almost lost my mind when I did this on Legendary for the first time.
I only recall two times in the entire campaign where I’m sure flood infinitely respawn, or might as well infinitely resoawn because there’s so many. The vast majority of time they stop pretty soon. I think this is part of why people hate the flood so much, they assume they’re infinitely respawning a lot of the time when the vast majority of the time that’s not true, so rushing past them will just get you killed.
@@TheJayson8899 There's a bug(?) where re-entering the load zone will just respawn the Flood. The Library is the most obvious example because it places these load zones right in the middle of corridors and chokepoints and spawns like a dozen flood each time so naturally moving back and forth causes the issue to be really bad
WaW Oh ok. Thanks for clearing that up. In my opinion that’s kinda dumb having a problem like that of a minuscule part of a videogame, don’t you agree?
4:21 that right there is a grunt on a mission. He might be scared shitless, and probably knows he will die, but he is 300% committed to putting that turret down on that specific spot.
How is it any fun playing the game by it rules? This is basically not cheating, and you're playing the game seriously, you should be banned for playing the game the intended way.
This proves how stupid 343 was making the par time of 20 minutes when the best legendary player in the world takes 25 minutes playing the mission as intended. Wtf were they thinking
Zombie Overlord He might or might not be the best (Ranabundana exists, up for debate) but he is a top tier player, no debate on that. And the par time of 20 minutes is stupid but also trying to beat Halo 2 in less than 3 hours by playing the game as intended is pretty dumb. I mean it’s not hard when you take all the skips and time saves into consideration but it’s probably not humanly possible playing the entire game like how he is in this video, which is the way the game is “intended” to be played (obviously enemies aren’t supposed to be flown past using button combos or skips, I’m sure those weren’t intentional).
@@streetfighter351 The under 3 hours isn't supposed to be done while killing every enemy though, it's meant to be a speedrun, so your argument makes no sense
Nice! Little bit o sword fly at the end there 🧐🤣. Brings to mind another possible category. Kill em all speed run with any glitches. Would be cool to see cross map sword fly kills and all the other insane hijinks and kill methods that could be optimised 😍. Really curious how you felt doing this run. Did you enjoy killing everything more than the normal speedrun? Or do you prefer going as fast as possible?
Hey rocats, I have an idea. A fun MCC speedrun challenge might be a "par score par time" speedrun, where you try to beat the par score and then finish the level as quick as possible. Would be interesting to play around with different skull combos to try and make the most of each engagement, and see which speedrun strats are still viable. For instance, would the gravemind elevator skip bypass too many enemies to get par score? Idk, I think it could make for an interesting speedrun category as there would be a balance of enemy engagement and speedrun tricks.
1. I'm really liking your runs/channel. This is a pretty solid time. I'll have to give it a go. I'm curious if sub 20 is possible with no deaths. 2. You skipped 2 jackals at 5:30 and a grunt at 18:15. Accidentally triggering the prison lift kill I think is forgivable since you immediately went up to stop it. ha. 3. Brain fart at 12:20 was funny. 4. Jackal at 13:05 and lack of checkpoint. Dude, I felt that from here. Rough. Way to hardly hesitate and soldier on. 5. 200 IQ 3 second time save at 17:25 6. 23:41 and... the title lies. ha. Habit I guess.
I think what's great about these videos, though, is it shows that getting good at legendary is also a viable way of getting Monopolized, for the most part.
Finally someone doing a speedrun properly, none of those tricks to let you skip playing the game how the devs intended. Not a fan of the small slide jumps, should have kept walking normally, they are dangerously close to a glitch.
Don't worry they're just joking, there are people that comment on my normal speedruns and say "how is this fun when you skip all the enemies" so now everybody is making fun of them by copying them
I wish Halo kept track of kills in terms of percentage (and didn't have occasional infinite enemy spawning) so that we could have 100% kill speedruns. But what are you gonna do I guess.
This is just me doing a regular playthrough, probably world record I assume because nobody has really tried to do a full clear as fast as possible before
@@rocats Someone definitely should though. It would be the most impressive speedrun I could think of. It will always irk me that over half of the reload can be skipped, and you can fly as far as you want with a sword.
You know rocats this is reminiscent of Bungie's Marathon Vidmaster Challenges, Total Carnage, All enemies dead, as fast as possible while killing everyone. Maybe you could add similar stylish optional rules to your runs, such as no damage taken, zero shot, and grabbing all secret items in levels such as skulls and dolls while achieving par time and par score.
Even this man, the speed runner god, got killed by a Jackal sniper. Don't know who the fuck at Bungie added one to many zeros to the end of the Jackal's accuracy traits, but I hope they were fired for it. Or are living out an eternal purgatory that's just Halo 2's legendary campaign.
The beginning of Gravemind is arguably the hardest beginning of any Halo level ever. What other levels have the potential to kill you in the first half second of the level?
10:02 is why I started playing on Mythic + a lot of the skulls on all those years ago. Your marines shouldn't be able to take L's like that and its no fun being the only person on the UNSC worth a shit.
I usually do but I've had some issues recently where the file sizes are insanely big when I record for whatever reason, so I went back to 30 fps for this one since the video is quite long, I will it try to fix it for future vids definitely
