Maybe other cultures are synonymous to their religions which is fine, so let me explain, the ancient religion in Ancient Greece was about myths, and the 12 gods living in Olympus mountain etc; and yes Christianity has killed this old religion; but not the culture. greek culture, and the foundations of the western world, believe it or not is still deeply related to ancient times, I can easily read and understand most of the ancient scripts in Greek, engraved in ruins, stones, texts...same language really, in schools our education is based on Ancient Greek culture, mixed with Christian context and other cultural subjects that relate to the whole world. Our modern culture is very accepting of other cultures and is fed by them with great tolerance. So culture and language in Greece has survived Christian and Islamic missionaries because it’s something bigger than them, both these religions tried hard to wipe out anything Greek, leaving many wounds but without success.
