Thank you India. We're dealing with a World Economic Forum trained Prime Minister, and said Mr. K. Schwab, half Trudeau's cabinet are grads from the WEF program for Young Global Leaders, too. The convoy is asking for removal of mandates, that's all they set out to do. There has been a huge outpouring of support and sandwiches, cookies and donations that has made some truckers cry to receive it all and causes the flag-waving cheering crowds to start to shed tears of hope and relief, too.

As a Canadian, I have to say this protest is not just about a small percentage of Truckers not getting vaccinated, it's about the sovereignty of the individual's right to choose & freedom of mobility. The huge overstep of these "Legislated" govt. mandates actually contravenes our own charter of rights & freedoms & our Federal govt. has proven itself (as you have stated) to be quite hypocritical when applying the same standards to itself, that it touts for others. There is also the blatant villifying, denigration & marginalizing of demonstrators by our Prime Minister & the unbelievably skewed media coverage within Canada that is like something out of George Orwell's 1984!!! It's beyond anything I have witnessed in my homeland of 53+ years. When I have to watch Indian news to get factual reporting of events in Canada, that says something...

I always said Trudeau would turn Canada into China Jr if he had the chance, and the pandemic gave him that chance. Hence the media blackouts and misreporting by so many mainstream outlets. He's trying very hard to get to be a dictator. (I'm Canadian fwiw). Also I was a bit disappointed that this video bought into some misconceptions. The convoy isn't only against vaccines, probably some people have no issue with the shots themselves. They're mainly against mandates and other similar measures. And making a big point about who is finding it, while a valid question, actually serves to undermine the protests by ignoring the thousands of everyday people who came out to support it, and who donated to support the convoy.

I heard Trudeau speak today and I thought I had landed on some paralel universe. I could not make any sense of his allegations about show of hate and violent behaviour. I surely have seen totally different images all day long. I saw protesters clearing snow of sidewalks, protesters cleaning the statue of Terry Fox, protesters offering food to police officers, protesters singing and dancing and smiling and peacefully being there together. (oh, and none of them was wearing tin foil hats)

I have worked in Canada on a work-visa and I know that those Canadians are good and hard workers, it is sad to see them treated so poorly. Inflation is so severe now that we are (vicariously) taking a big cut in pay annually. At this inflation rate, our children will not even be able to purchase a Home, it is the Canadian and American people that are getting the brunt of this one, not the politicians living in their blind ivory towers, glutting and partying on our tax dollars.

Most Indians are pro vaccines and support the Government initiated vaccination program "whole heartedly". Most people here believe vaccination should be mandatory. As a whole Canadians are a very peaceful group. To see this many protesters out says a lot about the general sentiment in the country. This protest does not represent a fringe minority and is not just about the Vaccines. This shows just how fed up the Canadian people are with two faced bureaucrats implementing draconian measures while ignoring them themselves. This protest shows how fed up people are with the divisive rhetoric coming from our politicians and media who promote segregation and discrimination against those who exercise their right to chose what medical interventions they take. This is not a riot, there are no acts of violence against the police or vandalism like we saw during the ANTIFA protests.

Eh.... Canada is a penal colony. Squinting, smirking, growling, teeth clenching, elbowing, shoving, smashing, pushing, waiting till nobody's around till they attack... is that all humans or have I just noticed it more in my 44 year life in Canada? Compared to my travels and time spent in Norway and Israel, England, Jamaica... I'm not sure Canadians are really peaceful as a group. All around the coastal North Sea area? Gentle, quiet, soft, kind, funny in good ways, many nicer voices. England, Norway, Denmark, and more. Very noticeable. Voice is the real window to the soul, they say.

Two comments: First, Palki is one of the very best journalists working today. Honest, incisive, always on point and not afraid to speak the truth. She puts legacy media talking heads to shame. Second, I am an Ottawa resident in Canada where the Truckers' Convoy took place. I went to the protest five times and wrote two articles about it. I made sandwiches for the truckers. I walked around for hours and hours, observing and talking to them. They were not the monsters reported by mainstream media such as the CBC, and there was no violence, no racism, no misogyny. A peaceful protest against Trudeau's dictatorial governmental over-reach. Palki has demonstrably called out Trudeau's hypocrisy and empty virtue signaling. Thank you Palki.
