The point of Soos is that he's based on a friend of Alex Hirsch who's always trying to help even when he's not good at it. You kinda get that from him throughout the season, but this episode makes it the most apparent.
One of my favorite little easter egg's in this episode is when Stan is riding the pterodactyl and he paraphrases a line from Moby Dick..."from heck's heart I stab at thee!".
I can tell you were trying, but this is still spoilery. Summarizing the big game-changer in a future episode is going a little too far. At least you did it vaguely this time. Check out Mineforall22's comment for an example of how formatting the comment differently lets you say more while spoiling less.
Oh ok, I understand what you are saying. I'm sorry, its just that I'm so excited for her reaction. I will learn from this mistake and try differently in the future.
No worries mate, it's a delicate balance. If you edit this comment so it's spoiler-free, and everyone else does, too, then one of Alycia's patreon followers could alert her that the comments section has been cleaned up and she could come back and read a few more comments. Kind of a long shot, but worth a try!
TheKingOfRandomness Yeah the quality was high all the way through, but ep. 18 is where the proverbial shit really hits the proverbial fan and the story starts spinning out of control.
I can't wait for you to see the season 1 finale!!! X3 Things are about to get interesting~ Well...more so than they already are. Also, I don't know if you already watch the show or haven't seen it yet...but I think Steven Universe would be a great show to start up on after you finish Gravity Falls.
Great follow up to your Rick and Morty reactions, say thanks to your both to fans and you to listening to us all. You are FUN and I like your viewpoint. Hoping for 2 more next week!
The title of this episode just made me want to rewatch Land Before Time. Such a good movie! And great double feature reaction as always. Pls never feel pressured to stick to that format. Do as much as u feel u can :D
In french version Waddles is named Dandinou, maybe it's because i first discovered the show in french but i feel it fits better and can't help myself thinking about it every time i see him
@alyciadweeb 1stly, sorry for not commenting on more of your recent reactions. I really like that you're reacting to another of my favorite shows. It's just that I've been busy w/various things, including my own projects. 2ndly, as a dino fan, this is 1 of my favorite episodes, even if they do incorrectly refer to pterosaurs as dinos (They're closely related to dinos, but not dinos themselves). I'm glad you like it too. 3rdly, I also really like your Mabel sweater. 1 of my favorite GF moments is from "The Inconveniencing" when Mabel has too much smile dip & starts seeing things. Have you considered reenacting that scene. ;)
After the Season 1 Finale, you should watch the Gravity Falls Shorts. Or at least, upload them on Patreon. I have a feeling you would enjoy Mabel's Guide to Life!
My sister was into Backstreet Boys. I still hear those songs echoing through the chamber of life. [*Meant to comment that on the Boyz Crazy reaction, but whatever.] Brace for the next episode, Alycia. Brace for it.
Ah yes. The season finale. That's gonna be a weird one. As is every episode of this show. They have all the cliches but they always put a unique twist on ot and make it stand out.
It's worth pointing out that while Matthew Vasser's comment is the irreverent god-king of Spoilertown, sticking it beneath a non-spoilery quote clearly mentioning the next episode is a perfect place to hide it from anyone who doesn't want to be spoiled. Nicely done!
Warp Zone You also don't have to be a dick. See? It's gone! Now go home! Spoiler The fairly mundane name of Bill doesn't really spoil anything if you've never heard of him.
Hey Alicia This isn't related to Gravity Falls, but seeing as you're a big animation fan, I thought I'd show you an example of a neat amateur animated video (more like an animated storyboard) that some talented RU-vidr made for an old Genesis song from 1976 (during their progressive rock era, before they became a pop/ballad hit-churning band) called "Trick of the Tail". Before you see this, you'll need to hear the song first for context. The lyrics are telling the story of a little mythical creature and his journey to the human world. This video has lyrics to follow the song with, as well as (towards the end) photos of the band from 1974-1976, when the were first a five-man, than a four-man, group (with two future pop stars in Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel [who left the band before this song was written]): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8aBbzHn1uHg.html Ok, now watch the video of this animated storyboard below. It's a really cute illustration of the actions depicted in the song's lyrics. Oh, and watch at about 1:39 of the video, as the illustrator put in likenesses of the four man Genesis (from around the time this song was made) staring at the lil' guy: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1G8rFR6GVsw.html Hope you enjoyed this. Thanks!
Oh, man. "Don't Sweater It" is hands-down my absolute favorite episode! I don't even know which part is my favorite. The wool-based stop-motion animation on the descent into Sweatertown? The constant musical numbers? To say nothing of the amazing creature design on the Woolly Mammoth they fight at the end! ( I'm kidding. All of these spoilers are fake. :P )
Which song was your favorite? "A Stitch in Time?" "Unravelling the Mystery?" For me it's definitely the reprisal of the Sweatertown Theme where Mable and Dipper are duelling with knitting needles and singing counterpoint to each other. (Holy shit. Counterpoint. I just got that pun. Ep19 has LAYERS!) Heh. Layers.
Okay, first of all, this isn't that part of youtube. But second of all, deep learning algorithms are totally a thing. If you absolutely must have Mable ASMR, just take a regular ASMR video and change the voice. (Just don't show it to anyone after you make it. Nobody likes fake porn of themselves on the internet.) (Except, of course, people who specifically ask you to make fake porn of themselves. I've never heard of that happening, but if the owner of the voice did consent to it, I wouldn't see a problem with it.)
wtf r u talking about?i wasn't talking about porn so i'm not sure how u got that idea but i asked cuz she makes an excellent mable cuz she so happy all the time she has the shirt and shes just in general perfect and i also mentioned asmr cuz they typically have hundreds of thousands of subscribers which would be better 4 her channel and get her more money.
Dude. Don't kid yourself. ASMR videos are totally porn. Just look at the most popular ones. You think people are showing up for the narrative? Or the youtuber's personality? No. They're showing up because an attractive person in sexy clothes is speaking with an exaggerated delivery and literally the whole point of the video is to make the audience tingle. It might not be regulated as porn, but I know porn when I see it.
1 asmr is NOT porn.if it was all about them wearing sexy clothes and speaking in an exaggerated way then how would u explain the 1s where they don't speak and the only part of them seen r their hands? 2 alycia is a 10 and 10's don't do porn unless they r desperate or stupid which she ISN'T. 3 asmr has been used 2 treat anxiety which she has. 4 the tingle part can be gotten from anything.it's not meant 2 be sexual.if u've ever read about a character shivering and it's pointed out that it's not cold then that's them getting asmr.it has nothing 2 do with sex or porn. 5 if she did asmr then her channel would be truly unique and get more subs becuz no1 is doing both reviews and asmr on 1 channel so she might get many more subs and views and possibly more money on patreon which would be good 4 both her channel and her life in general.
I got a request Alycia. After ur done reacting to Gravity Falls, could you post a reaction series for Avatar The Last Airbender if you've never seen it?
Pryce Geargia I'm not 100% sure but I think she doesn't have time to watch TV these days unless it's for the channel. Think about it, if you had the choice between watching a show, or watching a show and getting paid for it, which would you do first?
