I have been playing EFT for three years now, and it is my favorite game ever. I have recently grown tired of it, and I am looking forward to early access to this game. It looks really good so far.

Tarkov can never be better than what it is because of it's engine setbacks. If it was built in UE5, it would be lightyears better plus raytracing

ray tracing is too much of a gimmick to have in a competitive FPS for that to matter, but yes, UE5 would have been massive. They could have used ray tracing to help develop the lighting scenes around the maps though to pre bake a brightness@@Galvatorrix

@@jacobboswell9325 pre-baked lighting is in tarkov, although only on Labs (to improve performance obviously) and the sunlight on Day Factory, but that makes it so that no lights can be shot out, nor can there be a day/night cycle. This is why no other maps have baked lighting

Looks great! I know this hasn't even seen early access yet but I hope gun audio is still being worked on.. these all sound a bit muffled, like they were recorded in a padded room or something. So stoked for this though!

What does simulating temporary wound cavities actually do to enhance gameplay tho? Not shitting on it just genuinely curious, because if it’s just there to be there, it seems like a wast of development resources.

It's things like this and attention to details that get me super excited for the game ❤. Bullet penetration systems like this are pretty underrated in games that include it and players more often than not forget about it as a feature... but when you know it's there and how it works, you can really play it to your advantage and catch others by surprise when they start getting hit through walls and cover. Systems like this offer so much depth and possibilities and it's always fun to experiment and play around with them.

The ballistics and medical systems look like they have as much depth and realism as I wished Tarkov did. This is really crazy stuff. And I'm so glad people won't be bullet sponges.

Or the shooter is AI or this is BS,cause ingame we keep dieing getting shot through glass,bushs or grass and we cant even hit back!!!Getting instantly killed with one single shot to the wrist or shoulder!!Almost all wounds that got us killed are Light wounds!!!This game is as fun to play as playing against a team of aimbot and wallhack cheatters!!!How the F is it possible to get killed with 2 head shots from teh same enemie??? 🤣 This is so reallistic as someone commiting suicide with multiple stabs 🤣 The Hype of the game before its release was a great marketing trick,but now,you guys kinda shot your own foot!!! Released more than one month and there wasnt yet one single improovement!Yeah fixed the nade bugg and itens exploit,but what about the most important stuff that make the game actually playable??? We or spend more time waitting for an heli or looking for our dead bodys(for someone who served and been in 1 war,besides I´ve never have died b4 and had to look for my own body,this is REALLY realistic AF😂 ) Cant wait for PUBG Extraction Shooter be released,also Unreal Engine 5 ,might be out before you guys fix your Michael J Fox Treadmill simulator 😆 You guys should have waitted one more year before releasing this like this,bragging of 900k sells in the first month,well,900k players SCAMMED PLAYERS!Some allready realise it,the others are about to,sooner or later!!! This really feels like the direction EFT took and for all the bad reasons. Bringing the 'realism' just for the sake of it, or because someone on the meeting thought it would be cool. Look at EFT now - it's a jumbled mess of different mechanics, the ballistics and the armor systems are so complex even the devs have no clue how it actually works. And I say it with confidence as I've been programming games for over 5 years, supporting and re-writing a lot of legacy code. Don't make the same mistake. If 99% of the time it makes no real difference for players, just don't implement it. Make the code base simpler, make your future life easier. Let's be real for a second - ain't no way anyone will have a raid changing moment, because their bullet ricocheted of a puddle and killed someone. This is not a dunk, quite the opposite - the game looks amazing and I really wish you would succeed in brining it's development not only across the finish line, but also supporting it during it's life cycle. Please guys, I beg of you, reconsider your approach. You're really setting yourself to have bullet hole in a knee.

Tarkov's ballistics are laughable and their armor system is neither realistic nor complex. People have pretty much figured out exactly how it works without even having access to the source code. It's a shallow ass system for a game that markets itself as a "simulator". Even Panzer Front for the PS1 has a more complex ballistics engine than Tarkov.

@@TheJohn_Highway Tarkov has had fragmentation for several years now and angle and trajectory of the impact point on helmets and other armor effects deflection chance. There are videos of over pen ricochets killing two people next to each other with one bullet. It's a complex system that isn't explained much in the game and I'm sure there are still bugs but it's definitely not PS1 level lol

I dont know about others, but I want to see more maps, vehicles, infantry etc. I will buy Gray Zone Wareware 2 also... Best wishes. Some took the right path in the history of games. I love modded Arma3, now I can say GZW dev team gonna cross the Arma Franchise.

Please! Put a lot of effort into audio! In these mil sims - audio is so important! identifying guns by gunshots, general direction and distance to the gun shots, all the footsteps and any noise the movement makes, how it all blends in with the environment, etc. etc. One of the best audio systems is in Hunt Showdown! If EFT had such audio engine as HUNT - would be hard to beat it. So if YOU guys put lots of love, thought and effort into audio - you will dominate!!!

Ideas: Let the player tune the gas block on their rifle so the can turn down the gas to reduce recoils but risk malfunctions, especially when the rifle gets dirty or the can over gas for reliability but have more recoil and gas effects spray out the ejection port. Would love to see those details, especially if a suppressor made the gun more gassy. You could also add in overheating or more bullet capacity on soliders carrying 5.56 vs 7.72. Imagine if you could chose exactly what gear you carry into a fight which determines movement speed and how quickly you tire.

The reason realistic games still use numbers and hitpoints is because there's far too much randomization for a simulated medical system to actually be fun or even make any sense. The problem is networking mostly makes that useless(You'd be surprised how bad networking actually is when it comes to precision). They also don't even seem to understand how ballistics gel works. Devs have the maximum wound cavity size when it's inflated with air as the size of the hit collider, as if the organs aren't pushed out of the way when it's expanding like that. The ballistics gels smaller size after it settles is the part of the tissue that's actually ruptured. The dumb blood system also means you can take 20 non lethal shots and as long as they miss the limbs, basically be unaffected until you bleed out, just use hitpoints and have your medical system be abstractions built on top of that

i think that material penetration and ricochet are very important if you want to make suppressive fire effective in wooded environments. that is why i love arma so much. in a jungle if the volume of fire is sufficient even blind machine gun fire in your general direction can be quite dangerous and limit your maneuver possibilities

I like the idea but the angles those rounds are ricocheting off of that sheet metal isn't realistic. It should never be able to come back towards the shooter at that angle, should always pen but have a chance to deviate after penetration. Also 5.56 FMJ should fly through that sheet metal, as most 5.56 rounds would. I don't think M995 would have a bigger temporary cavity than FMJ. However the concept of cavitation is interesting, but what does it mean in terms of gameplay? Are player colliders acting like this "ballistic gel" medium, and then there are organ hitboxes, and if the cavitation intersects the organ hitboxes it counts as being hit? Or is the volume of cavitation equivalent to the "damage" dealt?

Zdravím všechny. :) Kdyby se někdo z adminů chtěl pobavit o tom jak má "model" držet AR15 tak aby to nevypadalo že má loket směrem ke slunci, jak se chová striker 9mm při střelbě o brokovnici se snad ani nemusím zmiňovat, tak at mi napíše. Očekával jsem něco alespoň trochu realistického ala Tarkov, ale tak tohle jsem teda fakt nečekal. Taková střílečka z 2010 v UE5 Graficky hezké, ale to opravdu neni to, na co lidé čekali :D ... Škoda...

​@@NatetheGR8PC Pretty much. Unfortunately 90% of the playerbase is post-2019 twitch kiddies so they have no idea what BSG promised Tarkov would be. And now the devs even started selling those suckers microtransactions. Tarkov,.in the eyes of the OG backers died long ago. Here's hoping GZW will give us what was promised since 2016.

Bit of a stupid question, as I’m not very familiar with the science behind firearms, but I wonder how weapon firing sounds change depending on the ammunition used and the environment it’s being shot in. What would the “basic, most fundamental” version of a weapon firing sound be? How would the sounds echo depending on the material and design of the walls around the player? What would a weapon firing sound like without any echo, like in an anechoic chamber?

The video was taken in the UE Editor which will always have lower FPS. It's mainly for dev purposes.
