Experience a brief playthrough of the "Rat's Nest" mission from two distinct points of view, immersing yourself in the dynamic strategies and seamless teamwork of a 4-man squad as they tackle the mission with patience and perseverance.

Love the wildlife sounds, but they need to be placed in the world. It sounds like there’s a bird on his shoulder with him everywhere. Looks amazing otherwise though.

Birds dont chirp if you get close to them or if you have loud noises. It's part of the reason they don't flood "realistic" shooters with ambient animal noise, also it comes off sounding really cheap.

It's just the standard audio cues that is in UE5, and has been in years, what i did when i still made maps in UE3, i placed them above the players height so it actually sounds like the birds are above you.

One thing I'm particularly appreciative of is that you all have been very transparent on your progress and development. One of the biggest mistakes I've seen so many developers do is overhype their game or over-promise on progress that they have made. Stay passionate about your project.

While i've never heard of MFG before GZW (as i'm not a mobile gamer) i couldn't get past the fact that everybody that had been playing their mobile games had nothing but praise for them. Obviously a game like GZW is not the average mobile game, but it's safe to say MFG has a reputation to live up to, and they're taking this serious. Just yesterday i read a comment saying "The MFG from our childhood favorite mobile games? NOW i'm interested", making me have a lot of faith in the project honestly. I mean i had faith before but reading a comment like this really made my day lmao.

they havent been that transparent at all, they haven't actually described how any of the mechanics work but just hyped them up as being ultra detailed and realistic in ways that sound dubious, and the gameplay reflects that

The world sound design is amazing, but weapon sounds need some work - they sound like someone slamming a car door, but otherwise I'm looking forward to seeing how the game develops and matures. The Ghost Recon Wildlands/Breakpoint I always wanted!

I feel sound doesnt have reverb zones and stuff to mix it. I dont remember hearing shooting indoor, but the animals kept the same volume.

It seems to me that the ragdoll physics needs a little more work and also bandages looks kinda funny and disappear as soon as you finish bandage yourself. But other than that, the game looks amazing and I absolutely love the careful and very tactical approach of the game. Looks very promising!

Animations overall I'd say need some improvement. Sound aswell, gunshots sound a little artificial or like it's the same sample over and over, reminds me of pubg. Makes me appreciate the effort bsg made in tarkov. It looks promising tho.

@@TheUnderscore_Yup! Some of the transitions look ok, but many are quite jerky looking. There was something off about the Littlebird pickup too. I think it accelerated too fast off the ground.

I disagree. AI is what this game depends upon and at the moment it doesn’t exist. Instead there is a 42 square km map (nicest l I’ve ever seen in a fps) with no actual game to play inside it. I don’t think people realise how long it will take to develop AI that is required to give players the experience they are expecting, let along the fact the devs have shown nothing to prove they can pull it off. I truly hope they do because I can see the vision.

Keep at it MFG. As a big milsim guy I am really excited by the potential here. You have a huge opportunity ahead of you. People are tired of EFT being in beta and even more tired of BSG's antics. This presents a huge opportunity for you. And if you involve the community, keep people informed, weigh feedback, etc. (Aka all the things BSG doesn't do), you will truly win people's hearts over. Are you considering a founders package? I would gladly pay a high price to help you shape the game, test, provide feedback, help troubleshoot bugs, and I'm sure many others would as well. In addition it will help provide extra funding and padding for the development and rollout. Either way I'll be watching very closely. You have a lot of eyes on this game. People are craving something like this, open world, great engine and graphics and optimisation with solid missions, gunplay and AI. We're here to help you get it right. Best of luck!

I think you are used to the standard FOV from most games where the gun is shoved in your face like your eyeball is glued to the barrel. Put a gopro on your head and grab your AR and see what it looks like irl, you’d be surprised.

This is partly due to the camera angle and FOV. In fact, it looks more like this in real life and in most games the weapons are shown too large and are drawn closer to the character.

* Gun Shots need to be a little more punchy. * Character Animations need more work, they aren't very life-like and ''fluid''. * AI needs work. Those are my initial thoughts, but the game looks great so far. I'm curious how transporting in and Exfil is going to work on live servers...if these are hard points I'm afraid they are just going to be camped to death.

notes, assuming that this isn't yet another bad faith asset-flip game: [character models/ movement/ first person POV] - pathing looks so rigid it feels like it's on rails [I'm guessing there are unflattering performance kinks to be worked out, especially in DOF and draw distance]; If I were playing, I'd be swinging left and right, and spinning 180s to check flanks constantly - first person character model appears too stiff and "weightless" when walking; arms and weapon stability need more modulation/variation of momentum in model sway-especially in high-contrast transitions, i.e. a full sprint into stationary hold + I like the ADS "snap" animation-very satisfying; though the hold stance could use more movement nuance/variation as well + health/provision animations look great [they honestly look like the assets given the most care/attention in this demo] [sound] (assuming the gunfire assets are placeholders) + directional audio/ distance sounds good in terms of combat and gunfire [cool to hear far-distant gunfire at around 9:00] + ambient sounds aren't necessarily too loud, just too compressed/ lacking dynamic range in the low to mid range amplitude, and seem to lack directional characteristics; i.e. songbird chirps are very repetitive, too hot in the mix, and need variation [I'm assuming we'll have an ambient noise slider] + frog/cicadas actually sound realistic and passable in the mix [coming from someone who grew up around them], though there are moments [17:15] where you can hear the abrupt transition between sound files/ pitch-shift effect automation - notification noise is really awful and disruptive and doesn't follow spatial continuity; I'd prefer more of a "click" or light percussive noise rather than a tonal beep [physics] - ragdolls look clunky, pre-rendered, and disconnected from the angle from which they're shot, or which direction their model was moving before being "deactivated." (?) are there particle and blood spray effects planned? The engagement at 17:00 seemed to lack them-or [I suspect] there are no actual projectiles/ballistics assets present in this demo [visual ambiance] - cloud cover/ weather dynamics would benefit the otherwise monotone lighting/exposure throughout the map; it's strange to see big clouds in the skybox, but flat, unbroken, static sunlight in LOS [enemy AI] - really, really rough; so far below industry baseline it doesn't even feel fair to offer critique just yet Thanks for sharing the clip. No game has yet to get the micro red dot right. You aim with both eyes open, so the body of the red dot mostly disappears. Games make it look like you're looking down a scope tube which makes it horrible to use imo. Otherwise this game looks sick and gives me old school ghost recon vibes.

Forest typically go silent when you approach or there’s a strange noise if you have been sitting in one spot for a bit then the forest would slowly come back to life and the stiffness of the character could be reworked a little they look like robots with how they move otherwise looks like good start can’t wait to see where it goes

This looks so incredible. The kind of game i've been wanting for so many years. Old school Ghost Recon fan here so this game has got me feeling genuine excitment! Salut de France, l’équipe de Mad Finger Games franchement je suis super excité pour la sortie de ce jeu. J’espère vraiment qu’il sera aussi dingue que sur le papier parce que de ce que j’ai pu voir ou lire il peut vraiment faire de l’ombre à TARKOV. Il faudra juste revoir le déplacement des joueurs, je trouvais ça un petit peu raide dans la vidéo mais en dehors de ça les graphismes la physique des arbres végétations la rivière j’ai vraiment hâte de pouvoir tester la Early Access 🥰 J’espere aussi que le jeu sera par la suite notamment pour les quêtes traduit en FRANÇAIS ❤

ARMA and Ghost Recon 2001 vibes… i’d like the wildlife sounds and ambience this seems very immersive. Artificial intelligence definitely needs work and I hope it will be a focus of future development. AI is everything when it comes to a cooperative Milsim experience

Couple of critiques Graphically the game looks pretty nice depending on the scene, however some foliage such as grass looks almost full-bright, it's like the lighting isn't effecting it propelry, maybe broken normals? But i cant say for sure. Animations are still really iffy, both FP and TP look far too stiff and lack fluidity. That and just in general the idle poses of the weapons are not good, they dont look correct, like the hands are posisitoned not quite right or they bend in awkward ways. Third person desperately needs a low-ready pose when moving, as keeping it perfectly shouldered at all times just looks incorrect. Audio is not great, ambient noise is too loud, gunshots sound okayish. PiP scopes look fine, kinda pixelated and looks like some lighting effects are missing in scope. Like others have said AI seems very headless chicken, they don't seem to really care for their own survivabiltiy and just run around into the open, at the very least they should try and stick to cover. Also, i feel like some music when you enter into the raid or extract would be nice.

Enemies taking a lot of rounds and they don’t have armor 😅 feel like like 3 most shot should do it. Specially when they are using 5.56. I can understand using a 9mm would take a few shots to the body. But 5.56 should be pretty damn powerful to drop them quick when they don’t have armor on. Headshots are headshots, one to the dome and they are gone 😂. But the game looks beautiful, movement looks great, sounds are amazing, gun play looks real and immersive, and I CANT WAIT to play some GZW 🙌🏼😭🙌🏼😭 HURRY THE F UP early access !! 😭😭😭

Even the AI ragdolls with some lag after being shot, just like in Arma. I don't know. It feels A LOT like Arma. Could you not have introduced at least a few original elements to the gameplay? Besides clunky animations, of course?

Good, but: -sounds of swamp/water/bushes etc - sounds are huuuge part of experience -physics of grass -left shoulder gun handling -huge particles of white bandage - looking strange Thank you for your work!

Looks promising. Still no early access for me, after the Battlefield 2042 disaster. Never gonna pay for a game again, until I'm 100% sure it's worth my money.

Ok, I could finally watch this and looks SUPER interesting. Very excited. Thank you for showing it like this. People will complain and critique but that's all for the better if you're actually serious in receiving feedback and making this a good game. I do have a couple of suggestions. Personally I don't care about the birds chirping 24/7 but I do agree it could be tiring and it needs work. Sound as a whole does and I think before you move forward with any game mechanics, the IMMERSION part of the world you have created needs to be the main thing. Gamers will put with shitty mechanics for years if the gameplay loop and immersion is fun. Not to mention other games, but you know. But if the world feels dull, players will bail. With a great interesting world, mistakes or bugs in mechanics could be forgiven, but you need to make the player stay there despite any problems. - MAIN: Environment sounds and GUNS, as well as interiors need to be worked on. The rest can come later overtime. Guns need to have echo, inside and outside. The rifles all sound same and dull. Also another suggestion would be, make "puddles" or "ponds" in the LANDING ZONES, so if you start hearing frogs, means you're near one of the zones, instead of hearing frogs across the entire map. And same for birds, more bird sounds where there are more trees and bigger ones. As soon as you start shooting should decrease (as if they flew away but after making louder noises as if they're startled) and the same for near "camps". I doubt there'd be no birds at all, but also doubt there'd be plenty of them. (I've never been in the jungle, so maybe). - 2nd level importance: I know this is pre-alpha, it's very very early so this is not a "this is bad", more like "Suggestion where this could go". Animations. The gauze being taken out of the bag needs to be faster, and then slower when applying perhaps. It looks like the guy is taking his time opening it considering he has a bleed where he needs to put something. The "Large Blood Bag" needs to be on the category of "Major healing" and as such, you can't pump it 4 times and be done. It should be one or 2 pumps and then let it "drain" to fill you with blood for at least 20-30 seconds. Last but not least, suggestion for the video if there will be more gameplay showcases: Don't remove the player "tag" on screen. So we can know who's who at all times. This has nothing to do with the game though, so it's not important. Lamang looks GORGEOUS and I'm very excited to get in there and try it out.

I love the map/graphics,foliage etc. But i hope there will be inertia system,and the character movement will be a bit less "robotic". Looks amazing,just a bit casual atm.

For having such sophisticated ballistics and organ hitbox systems, I feel like the medical mechanics are almost TOO game-ified. Click one button and it's done, much like tarkov. Obviously I can only speak on what little I see here, but from this I'm having a little trouble finding how GZW will stand out from Dayz, arma, or tarkov, because it looks pretty similar to stuff we've already seen. I look forward to seeing things evolve and change and hopefully become more unique.

I love the movements of the character, but... tbh, the world seems empty. All rice fields, no buildings, i dont see anything worth exploring, also the NPCs seems stupid. The distance between your base and your mission are not that far, you can just walk rather than call helichopter. I mean... Could you go back to base on foot? Its just ridiculous. Sorry, Im not commenting on how you play it, this is just my opinion about the game itself. The game just got huge popularity, and I think its over-promoted. The map itself are green, fewer building, idk man it feels like Vietnam War in 2024. Haha, i mean... Everything is a rice field and jungle, hahaha, South East Asia maybe a 3rd World Countries, but we are not that far behind you know... We got buildings, cultures, and I dont see them in this game. Why do they make a game that seems like a rice fields war? Haahaha

Also: Reload-animations and specially sounds (ramming the mag into the magwell) could be a bit more "beefy" and "violent", you know? The Operators are stressed out, they are in a hurry, they want to reload fast and make sure the mag is at its place, the animation right now looks a bit stiff and robotic. Don't like comparisons, but take a look how reloading looks in MW20219, when the Operatives rams the mag into a M4 or reloading a Shotgun, the "player" rams every round into the tube, it looks so amazing... there is definitely a bit room for improving here, I guess :-) Same goes for he overall shooting, make things a bit more violent in the players hand. Even BF2042 is changing it right now for the next update to offer a bit more visual recoil, to beef things up. I shot dozens of weapons and every time it is a huge fun and also a nice little act of violence that goes through the body - and a good shooter gameplay should/could reflect that xD

The environment look amazing. But the bodies look extremely robotic and unnatural. Movements are very generic. The first person view is very rigid and repetitive. And the all movement transitions lack fluidity. I hope they work on that because it kills the immersion a lot. It is like going back to ArmA 3 ten years ago...

I live in the tropical country..,there is no way frogs would sound like that in the midday...,they always sounding at the dusk or in the evening.., It feels like roaming in the supposely night environment..

Cons: Movement animations look stiff, specially the running one for other players. AI seems kinda stupid - like when one bad guy in the end got shot and ran towards the player instead away from him. AI can curse a little bit more when they get into firefight, it could help immersion. Gun sounds are meh - was that m4 sound from CSGO? They are really mediocre compared to Escape from Tarkov which has real life audio recording for every gun in the game . Pros: Beautiful map. It really makes me feel I am in South Eat Asia again. Gun animation and gunplay seems solid and it is on par with other popular shooters. This game has potential to be great but it still needs a lot of polishing before the release.

Sadly all these tactical games get ruined by people sprinting around all the time. No tactical game ends up playing as in the trailer because of that. If you give the people the ability to run, they would rather run around and risk dying as they can simply spam games and say "oh that was unlucky". If you want this game to be what you present it, I would suggest either removing or limiting the ability to run. I can give one example to a game wit no running or jumping. Ready or Not, people feel forced to check corners an play tactical, but guess what, give them the ability to run and jump, then everyone would abuse it and it wouldn't be fun. Just people try harding bots. Games like ground branch, tarkov, etc. are examples of "tactical games" where you can't find a single soul that doesn't sprint 90% of the time.

Where is the loot? Gunplay is whatever, tarkov gunplay is trash, all gunplay is trash. I only care about the loot system. Not a single instance of it was shown. Dissapointed

It looks very good for the most part. I like the setting, it looks very harmonious. There's still some work to be done on the animations and sounds, but if it starts the alpha as shown, that's ok. The most important thing is the servers, they have to be up and running when the game comes out, with a reasonable server tick rate. I expect bugs in an alpha, I can live with that, but if it's not playable because of the servers, that would be a big problem. Think of WW3 back then, the game never recovered after the disastrous EA launch. Dear developers please take the time the game needs, it looks great, it has mega potential and I'm super keen on the game. How about a beta week before the EA launch to see if it works? I wish you continued success with GZW and I'm really looking forward to playing the game myself.

I like it so far, but you should reconsider the optics in the game. The main focus of an reddot optic is to be focused on the reddot and not the housing around it. If you look through a reddot, the housing becomes more ore less invisible/transparent, that is the point of a reddot. Maybe that would be a thing to consider. Because: right now the hosing blocks the view, like in most other games, if not all games - they are doing it wrong. I expect to see even more "problems" when using an eotech or something with a bit bigger housing, what is the point? Having a reddot around a bhuge black circle? Not really... for a game that focuses that much on realism, you should take a look into this. But I love the LPVO in the game :-) Can't wait for tomorrow to see the streamer guys footage :-)

guys, I know there is a lotta comments on that already, but.. the sound It’s not okay that I can perfectly hear the birds but barely hear the reloads. Weapon manipulations sound like this pmc’s holding a pencil, not a rifle. You literally know how firearms sound, you can do so much better.

I´m so hopefully the animations will be reworked to a more immersive version. The way he´s just floating over the Ground when aming... ^^ poor and repetitious animated movement would kill all cool ways to dive in to this world you have created
