I loved the ponies too! The rhododendron trail really lives up to its name in June!

Did a 23 mile backpacking trip to Mount Rogers thru Grayson Highlands via the Appalachian Trails. We had such a great time. We ending up camping right off the trail and had a pack of wild ponies come right thru our camp. There are some spectacular views and you can also summit Mount Rogers which is the highest point in Virginia. Highly recommended this place!

This is in my state! Very nice. Hoping to see the ponies firsthand one day.
