Wow August I clicked on this video for the GRCS but instead you blew my mind with your story and the help you got from others...simply amazing how life works and that there are still great souls out there willing to help others.

Wow man. That story was so inspiring August. I am a carpenter, and I had all of my tools stolen and pawned before too. It was a similar situation, where that is how I provided for my family. I knew who did it and I was sooo mad, but letting that resentment go freed me from bondage. It was my brother in law and he was an addict. I wanted to hurt him but didn't. I forgave him and was able to have a relationship with him, but man was it hard. God bless you my friend.

That video put a smile on my face. :) All I can say is that Jehovah, God is good to us all and you are blessed indeed. Whereas a lot of guys are not humble especially those who are as skilled as you are, both from a tree work and video editing standpoint but through it all you remind us all that we are just the average working man/women trying to provide for ours and in the face of all adversities and trials and you do that so well but you are humble through it all and thats why we are all drawn to a person like yourself August and as a fellow tree worker you tell our story so well. It used to be a mystery to some but now all eyes have opened and can understand what tree life is like once they watch your videos especially since they are high quality. As always that was an excellent video and thanks for being human through it all by sharing your story with us.

Treeboi … Great comment . You get a perception of someone watching their content. Sometimes you're lucky enough to read something they wrote using more than just words and you realize your perception was right . You're a good man ,anyone who read your comment here knows that . Yup... You make it that obvious brother haha

August, I've watched this a few times now, since you put it up. I shared it on my fb a while ago and even my mum commented something like: "That's amazing! What a nice man!" It's your philosophy that sets you apart. Without taking away from your exceptional arb skills. It's the way you make sense of it all. I spent the first decade of my career in trees in a roughneck world of bravado and bluff and it's so good to see the real depth of what we do being discussed nowadays and I'd go so far as to say your videos have been pivotal in developing this new culture. What I'm saying is, thank you for putting the time in to sharing your thoughts and skills. And great choice of music!👍

Hi! August nice edit👍🏻 my brother has been a climber for six years or so by now. On 8-17-14 I was hit off my motorcycle resulting in an above amputation to save my life. Through tragedy the community, friends and family pulled together and helped me. With their help Jon and I started a small tree business. Crazy where we at because of what happened to me. I'm healthy now and using my prosthetic like a leg, well that's what it is. Love the videos man!!
@smithtreeserviceowner-jess2157
yet again, a very great video, love your work, and your story. you sure know how to do what you love to the fullest my brother. im so thankful for you,and all you do to show the world our stories as tree climbers. GOD BLESS YOU.

I really appreciate and can relate to this story. Same happened to me while I was in a different trade. Now that I'm a tree climber, this story really pricks my heart. A few short years ago, I climbed my 1st tree with an old kinda cheesy Buckingham harness I purchased from a coworker for $100 pesos. I WAS HOOKED IMMEDIATELY. I was older than the typical greenhorn at 45 so I sold my home and proceeded with purchasing the best gear. Got myself a Teufelberger tree motion evo and some gecko spurs and a bunch of bell and whistles. I had a couple small things come up missing out of my kit bag. I thought to myself how devastated I'd be if I lost it all. Got a couple years experience now. So I purchased the best once again. This time a monkey beaver harness and some edelrid tallons. I keep them seperated just incase, I'll have the other set. Monkey Beaver is dialed in now. Getting very aquainted with the rope runner. God, thank you for making me a tree climber. Protect my gear from the bad guy's. If not, help me to control my thought's so no one gets hurt. IJN AMEN😁

What a Godly story! Stay vested in Christ! Your trials as you see may seem confusing, stressful, humiliating, tragic even, but rest assured those " In Christ" will reap dividend's in the end. You will be rewarded... Be patient, be kind, forgive. Keep doing what your doing. Your an inspiration to so many. Love ya brother! Scott

"I'm just gonna cut off everything that doesn't look like a stump." Haha good quote! Sorry to hear about the theft. I got burglerized once, similar situation, dead of winter, lost all my savings kept stupidly in a small safe in my room. Felt very humiliating and at the same time I was filled with hatred and anger. I figured out it was my best friend. It is inspiring to hear how your community came together for you. I have always felt that humanity is good at its core. You learn a lot about yourself after a deal like that. Okay, enough of the weird short sentences. Peace.
