Hi Ivan. Thanks for the video. You have been an inspiration. I am very fond of benching . However I am scared to do more than twice a week as many people point out that I might develop shoulder injuries . I do lots of rowing to compensate for the bench but I am still worried about shoulder injuries / imbalances. This video cleared some of my doubts. Thanks and cheers !
Hey man, love the channel. I reckon I might do something like this when I hit 110kg. I went from 102-108kg at 70kg bw in four weeks, by following one of Greg Nuckol's routines, but stupidly didn't allow myself to recover before restarting another iteration of the routine. Strained my pec, and I've spent the last 2.5 months slowly building up, and today managed 95kg without any pain. This gtg seems a little less taxing on the body volume wise compared to the routine I was doing, and it sounds fun too. Would you ever try smolov jr for bench? Peace from NZ.
How do you reckon this would work with all of the main lifts? (Bench, squat, deadlift) should you do all of them every day? And what would the order of them be?
Edward Velasquez thats a tough question. Because the recovery would be an issue. Remember we are a holistic system. Say u have 10 points of recovery. How would u spend them. When doing just one lift u put all 10 points into that lift. But when u do all of the lifts then u cant go as hard in any of them. U have to spread ur recovery points on three movements. The reason this works is because u spend all of ur energy recovery for one movement. When doing deadlift and squats, they work the massive muscles. Bigger muscles take more of ur points. Thats how i kinda look at it man.
It doesnt matter where u are. Its the same principles. Work with similar percentages. Strength is strength man. Increasing ur 1rm will carry over to ur max reps at whatever percentage.
hey man i have a question when our body is used to really high frequency by this method when we switch to a normal program does that affect the improve in a negative way cuz body used to lets say 50 sets of bench press a week then when we switch its 20 sets of bench press a week
