They don't show it, but it's also funny in Dizzy Detectives when Moe asks Curly where his gun is and Curly says that the land lady's baby was crying so he gave it to the baby to play with.

The Curly short was near the end of his run with the stooges. You can tell the strokes he suffered had taken it's toll on him :-(

Near the end of his role as one of the 3 Stars of the Show. Curly guest starred in the Shemp Short, 'Hold that Lion' as a Snoring Passenger, which was reused as Stock Footage in a subsequent Shemp Short.
