That deadpan delivery at the intro about had me spitting out my drink. I haven't laughed that hard all day! I have a problem laughing when kids fall of bikes too. 😂 It's a disease. Anyway, thanks for the insights and glad you still have your patella intact!

Lmao 🤣 I try to laugh at myself when things like that happen. But I just told myself I was stupid this time hahaha. Glad you enjoyed

Grip edge = rbrt. It’s the same exact stuff literally same inventor same factory just the exclusive Mac license ended. I have some of it and I really like it. I have the bit set you show in this video and I love it it’s very high quality.

OK that's what I thought but didn't want to give out false information lol. Thanks for that info.

SK is dead. There is no reason to buy them now unless you can find some good old used ones.

Only place I see good sk is from grainger and we all know they have a markup higher than snap in 😆

I agree SK isn't what they used to be. I do have the SK pliers wrench, and i have to say, for the price it isn't bad.

6:40.. The quick adjust pliers are actually pretty good..I've got Bahco pliers in that style and they're surprisingly good Tony.. GripEdge IS RBRT... awesome. Made by the exact same company

Good video. I have several Mac RBRT sets, which is the GripEdge product. Expensive for what they are for sure, especially if you're a DIY'r like me. However, I use them all the time and completely retired the traditional hex or torx heads.

I felt my leg buckle just a bit on your opening comment, Tony. Thanks for sharing! LOL. Then the puns started. You don't use the Empire on a professional "level" 🤣 Quite the fun show today!

I have the MAC RBRT hex bit sockets which are the exact same thing. Well worth the money if you deal with allen fasteners frequently.

I think I read somewhere that grip edge makes the MAC branded stuff. I could be wrong.....ive used the RBRT stuff, and its top notch
@reconbbs360
@reconbbs360 18 часов назад
@@jaredthompson6007 You would be correct. They do make the MAC branded RBRT. I bought the set off the MAC website prior to GRIPEDGE selling the sets directly. Cost me a pretty penny but I don't regret it one bit.

Sorry but this is gonna be a long comment and to help the algorithm and your channel it might be two comments but Sk is gone. Look at those pliers 🤦🏽‍♂️ I don’t even need them in my hand I’d be willing to bet those pliers suck lol. I think the only USA sk you can get are sockets and ratchets and even then you just don’t know what you will get. Charging USA made prices for china made quality. I read the reviews on the screwdriver set they sent guys non USA made with a letter saying they’re making changes 🤣 I see grainger still selling USA made sk sockets but over half of the stuff on there says it’s china made.
@daveunderwoodjr682
@daveunderwoodjr682 15 часов назад
Also, the rpt/rbrt sets are freaking great from what I hear. The hex mainly and I hear the torx are pretty damn good too!
@TonyTheTechnician
@TonyTheTechnician 5 часов назад
Ya it would be different if when they changed to China, the prices followed but they didn't. They are asking ridiculous prices for some of this China stuff. And ya I would be so mad to purchase something I thought was usa and got a China tool. Thanks for commenting and watching

@@TonyTheTechnician they just need to take the name sk and change it. It will never be what it used to be. Which is sad.

Do you miss working for the Schumacher team? (My parents decided to move to a place called Idaho in Aug. '68, therefore, i missed seeing Mr. Don and all of the East Coast Cars coming out to So.Cal for the winter. Amazing times that seem like a few months ago...

Yes and no. I loved the experiences I had and the things I learned. But I had a new born at the time and traveling all the time for work wasn't ideal. But it's an experience I'm glad I had.

Not to laugh at your "knee-capitation", but I have done that at least 30 times in my life. Lol You can never go wrong with Knipex, IMO. GRIPEDGE is new to me. Thanks for the info, Tony!!
