Hard to hear without music too. Can you give info how much was petrol or diesel at the roadhouse you stopped at. Hungry for details of Yr trip. You need to fill us in more.

Thank you for your feedback. I'll definitely keep this in mind! Most diesel prices were around 2.80/L to 3.40/L unfortunately I didn't check on the petrol prices. Get the app 'petrol spy' and you can look ahead of your trip how much fuel is. This app only works with reception so check prior to getting onto the road. Also wiki camps is such a must have, costs like $8 bucks for the app in total and you can then download maps so that when your out of signal you can still use the app.

Thank you for your message and im glad you found my video. Yes I think you will be able to make it through with a 2wd. Just take lots of water, food, spare tyre/s and fuel incase something happens. I think you can look online to see the latest reports on the road conditions but it was good when I went. Next week I'm posting a video on tips to how to drive on corrugations so feel free to watch that and hopefully it helps you a little!

@@zuzuadventures1313 thanks for yr replies. I'm so happy to hear I can drive my Toyota van from Perth to Uluru instead of having to go up the top then down. I'm 65, travel a lot solo.
@rustysworldofentertainment850
NT is 110 unless 130 is posted. WA is mostly all 110, no 130s - which is a pain in the arse but you use a lot less fuel. This particular trip here is on my agenda, as is Tanami Road. There's no peace in the world like in the Outback.

If love to do that trip, no way id be getting permifs though, let them get away with that and soon youll need a permit to fart
@rustymozzy

The permit is to enter Aboriginal land. It is not a government authority thing. It's a respectful request to enter territory owned by Aboriginals. Also, the road is privately owned by the councils, so there's no reason you should automatically expect to use it. It's not a public road. The fines are thousands of dollars, per person, per area that you cross without a permit. You're trespassing. You have no insurance coverage at all. Your car is not recognised as being registered for use in that area if you don't have a permit. Once your car is recognised as being non permit at a fuel stop, you'll be refused further entry and will have to turn around and go back or be towed at your expense... Dunno, going online to register for a permit seems like the best way to be a decent human.

@Just Onlyme I'm going to drive thru your back yard. Every day. I'm going to bring my friends. Every day. I'm going to camp in your front yard. Every night. I'm going to bring road trains thru to get to your neighbours. I'm going to burn your trees, shit in your garden, run over the wildlife, cover the place in dust... What? You want to stop me? Fine, I'll be using your kitchen, your shower, your toilet. I'm not going to get permission. If you think it's okay to expect me to get permission to enter your property, that's just hypocritical. It's a permit. The permit shows anyone that you have permission to be on the road. You don't own the road. The road is part of the land, just like your driveway is part of your house block. The road in front of your house is on public land, and this road is not on public land. I don't know how that's so hard to see the difference. So you don't want to apply for a free permit but you'll pay for a driver's license, you'll pay stamp duty when you buy the car, you'll register the car, you'll have compulsory insurance on the car, you'll abide by the conditions of driving such as speed and substance use... you'll do all of the stuff that the government demands. Do you think that aboriginal communities (non government organisations) expecting you to ask for permission to enter their land is a step too far? It's okay. Clearly, with your attitude, you will never get outside in the real world long enough to even drive to the start of the road. You'll have to ask for something, and that's going to be a step too far, and you'll go home. You made a comment. Now you're too proud to realise it was ridiculous.
