Great Eastern Cutlery #23 Pioneer Trapper ( My steak knife for the past month or two ) Check out my website: linktr.ee/kal0blades Feel free to follow me on instagram @kal0pr / kal0pr Thanks for watching Edwin
I just bought this knife today! I’m excited. Before adding this and a 74 Mustang in sambar stag to my collection today, I only had the yellow Texas Rose 97. I’m blown away by the quality and beauty.
Great video thanks. Love GEC knives. That knife is great too. Like the beautiful bone covers. I just order the GEC 23 Northfield UN-X-LD Pioneer Trapper LL Redtaill jigged bone liner locking knife and looking forward to seeing it in a few days. That pull is tough I hear and when closing I definitely will be holding the blade as I close it into the half stop position and not just trusting the half stop alone to keep my fingers safe as I know how sharp the GEC blades are. I am glad this blade has a lock as I wanted a big blade for the heavy use jobs on my wood carving and whittling.
Isn't it beautiful? I have it in Beaver Tail. Very practical large working knife - good to see it being used! Too many GECs end up imprisoned in collectors' safes...
So true it is a shame not all of these high quality GEC knives get to be free to work as they are so capable. I use mine but if I was rich I would by 2 of each knife I like using one and saving the other to just look at or show to others. But collectors do help the great knife makersl, and there are a lot, keep in business so they can come up with more awesome designs and make them for us.
What a great knife. It´s so slicy! Hard pull for unexpierenced slip joint guys though. Not a good gift knife for someone that is not into traditional knives.
