The Great Electric Train Show, held in the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes, never fails to disappoint.
This year the event was back, with four different areas offering layouts, traders, and services. From Milton Keynes Central station, a free shuttle bus took me direct to the venue.
Over 90 stands were at the show, with a good variety of layouts in different scales and eras. The highlight being Pete Waterman’s gigantic combo layout, running from one end to the other of the biggest hall, and the N gauge circuit layout, James Street. This was followed up nicely with plenty of smaller layouts.
Not many photos as it is hard to capture the essence of small trains and railways through a camera, nevertheless here is a selection we did get, as well as a video which is soon to follow.
