Chloe X Halle are a super talented sister duo. They have superb harmonies and have been singing like they do since they were kids. They did a lot of youtube videos covering songs and Beyonce discovered them and signed them to her label. They have a more unconventional sound. Chloe is the older sister and she is a mezzo soprano I believe and Halle is the younger shorter sister and she is a soprano (higher lighter tone). They are also actresses. You should definitely react to there song Do It.

Go Head Sporto I love his analysis. Halle (the soprano) is phenomenal at what she does, running, riffing, and gliding around her sisters alto notes. I mean they both are, but Halle's Jazzy soprano is so different from what we usually hear today, and they complement each other amazingly.

This was really great. I love Sporto's insights about the vocals & timing. For two such young girls, they're really great performers. And even more impressively so since Rona has had everything on shutdown. They've managed to do some really great live performances (broadcast to various awards shows) with surprisingly minimal effects on the tennis court of their own home. So, some fun facts: *It's pronounced Chloe and Halle (like Halle Berry). *They're sisters, two years apart in age (Halle is 20 & Chloe 22, I think). *They've been singing together their whole lives, but first got noticed widely for their RU-vid covers of other people's songs (the first time i heard them it was a Whitney Houston cover, I think. And they were impressive, even at 10 & 12 years old). *They did a cover of Beyoncé's 'Pretty Hurts' that blew up & that got Bey's attention. They opened for The Queen on the OTR II tour (which my cousin & I actually went to, but we missed their performance because we stopped to eat first...*sigh). *They also act & are series regulars on the Black-ish college spin-off, Grown-ish, playing twins who are track stars. *Prior to Grown-ish, they appeared in Beyoncé's Lemonade visual album - not singing, but part of the narrative woven through the songs. So you'll be able to spot them when you finally get around to watching it. *Halle also has the distinction of being cast as Ariel in the Disney live action retelling of The Little Mermaid (production delayed due to Rona). *You can dig back to even their earliest videos and see how vocally adept they both are and how tight their harmonies are. But I recommend a couple cuts off their first full length album: Cool People (the harmonies!!!!!) and Warrior (which also appears on the Wrinkle in Time soundtrack). I also highly recommend their 2019 Grammy performance. It'll give you chills.

They also write and produce their own music and are multi instrumentalists! Their vocal arrangements and harmonizing is very reminiscent of Beyonces R& B arrangements/harmonizing. They signed to Beyoncé label Parkwood Entertainment. The girls said that they would play their music to producers and record labels but no one wanted to sign them because their music was too complex for the average ear. Their music is very different and unique to the point where it doesn’t even fit into one genre.
