I discovered Tarja last year while listening to her Christmas song. I was terribly surprised that she is mainly a rock singer. I don't listen to much rock, but then I listened to some of her albums and I'm lost. I love her voice. I love her personality. She has the most beautiful voice in the world and I also think she is one of the most stunning artists. She is really beautiful, sweet and super talented. I'm so glad I discovered her music. And she looks so majestic on stage.

She and her music, her voice, saved me in many of the darkest moments of my life, I'm so grateful for her existence, without her and her work I'd probably not be here! And I'm not the only one, I don't know if she has any idea of how deeply she touches her fans' lives through her beautiful art and soul! And thank you so much as well for creating such a safe and fun space here for Tarja and us, her Winter Storm! She deserves all the greatest things and love in the world, just like you guys! There will always be envy and jealousy washed over individuals who break the norms, and Tarja certainly did, and still does it to this very day. Truly no other female singer in metal with her kind of diverse career, and backstory.

This reminds me... if you haven't already watched the Nightwish origins documentary, Once Upon a Time in Kitee, i highly recommend it. The documentary focuses on the band's music teacher, Plamen Dimov, who is an extraordinary man in his own right. It also has interview segments with Tuomas. You can find it on RU-vid (just remember to turn on the English subtitles!)

Thanks so much for your reaction to this video and for everything you said. And thanks so much for creating a safe space here for Tarja's fans. I really wish people would stop bullying her. All she wants is to make music for herself and her fans. I don't think the interviewer is one of the most knowledgeable, but it's a nice interview. Too bad the second part is missing. I wonder where it got lost. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you manage to interview her.

@@tuuli4002 I don't know right now, but I think it must have been somewhere, because the interview seems very truncated. Unless they edited it badly. I think I will give the request for 500 letters next month, the video for that seems very powerful to me. Do you want to request a live version?

Tarja can be bit goofy sometimes, and I love it. It makes her more normal and accessible. So many of these amazing front ladies has been bullied in their past (and even present). Tarja, Floor, Sharon (Within Temptation), Noora (Battle Beast) and many many others. And I love how down on earth and normal they are. They really seem like they could be your friends or co-workers.

I get a little ignored when people feel the need to bring up about someone having better technical or singing style then Tarja. Coming from some who actually study voice, when a teacher gives me a classical piece to practice, when i go look up different version s of other people singing to learn it. Everyone sounds exactly the same. That actually why i hate reaction videos from vocal teacher. Cause not everything needs to be perfect or nitpicked. Plus when they try to suggest some classical/opera singer that supposedly better than Tarja. Just some generic classical singer with no personality. Let’s not forget Tarja is a huge influence to a lot of female fronted singers of today.

Hi Floor also has 3 Masterclasses on her channel. Ann Wilson from Heart also went to a voice coach after she got n her 40 to 60. That's why you hear some Metallica in Tuomas's songs

For centuries, this was called "cultural exchange", when people were interested in another nation's cuisine, fashion, music, and thus the culture of all mankind developed and evolved. I don't know if John Two-Hawks is a Native American or not, what difference does it make even if he is not? If a person loves this culture and music so much that he has dedicated his life to it and demonstrates it around the world, then in my opinion he thereby helps to maintain its existence and is an ally of Native Americans. In my opinion, the concept of "cultural appropriation" is false and ridiculous. And for the culture of small nations, it is even dangerous, because if only representatives of these peoples have the moral right to spread their culture, this greatly increases the risk that these cultural traditions may become extinct.

Thank you for this and for your nice words. The Interviewer is not so good in my opinion. First the mispronouncing of her name..he should’ve learn it before.. And why is he asking Tarja about the cost from ‚Once‘ and that some guy mentioned John Two-Hawks (wrongly) as a fraud.. How should she know that? And there’s nothing about that on Tarja’s Wikipedia page..

Frankly speaking, the only envy I see is from some Tarja's toxic fans, who for almost 20 years have not been able to accept the fact that she was fired from Nightwish and the band did not fall apart without her, but on the contrary became stronger. And of course they are jealous that the new fans of Nightwish love Floor more than the Tarja era and the "calling card" of Nightwish has now become the song "Ghost Love Score" - and not the original version with Tarja, but performed by Floor. And I don't understand what kind of "bulling" of Tarja by Nightwish fans you are talking about. I read and write in many comment threads and almost always any toxicity starts with Tarja's fans insulting or discrediting Tuomas and the rest of the band. A bully is the one who attacks without a reason, not the one who fights back.

Floor fans will say Tarja fans are worse and Tarja fans will say Floor fans are worse and in the end, both singers are above those petty comparisons. And it is bullying because unlike some fans, Tarja has never said a bad word about Floor, and vice versa. If you wanna fight back against 'toxic Tarja fans', be my guest. But this is a safe space because there aren't people in the comments constantly talking about how much they can't stand Tarja's voice or how bad of a singer she is or that her solo stuff sucks, because Tarja herself is not the bully here.

I remember you very well also from this channel and I know very well how much you don't like Tarja. It's the same every time. Tarja's fans can't deal with her being kicked out of NW? I see one here who obviously cannot come to terms with the fact that she was there at all. I prefer Tarja without NW than with them. And who is talking about Floor here? It seems to me that you very much wish to start an argument on this subject back here.
