Chrystal sings mainly in chest voice but switches/blends between chest, head voice & mixed voice (strong head voice that is close to crossing into chest voice). All sopranos do that including Karen Clark & Nikki. However Chrystal has a light upper voice & a heavy withdrawn low voice but she can switch between the 2 & blend. For example: 8:54 - 9:04 is in head voice. At 9:08 - 9:33 & 14:25 - 15:04 you can more clearly see her connect from upper to lower range (in chest voice).
Such command -- of her vocals. Such control. Such confidence in the Lord and in the talent He has gifted her. She puts the conviction in contemporary gospel that often escapes me. She is so real! Thank God for this songbird!
Wow. Listening and watching her lead that gifted organist through her rendition of Somewhere over the rainbow...musical BLISS. Nothing like a great vocalist and gifted organist making music together in a creative and collaborative spirit! He went wherever she went, and did it with creativity! They both are bad! Thank you! Who is that organist!?
LOL @ SHORT & SWEET AS POSSIBLE!!!! you know us black folk have to sing... testify... shout... & dance till almost the next morning.... what i truly love this magnificent woman of God she's not fake @ all... her worship is for real she doesn't perform... but she goes into a true trumpet of zion praise... when are we going to have more singers like her again??? she sounds a lot like aretha franklin when she sings somewhere over the rainbow... they need to consider doing another wizard of oz... or wiz with her in it because she'll end up bringing deliverance to plenty in any nationality... GLORYYYY!!!!
An interesting observation. She asked the amazing organist, David if he was in Bb5 and he must have not been listening or he tricked her lol because he kept playing in Ab, and I am actually happy about this because Chrystal had such an awesome flow in the key of Ab here and maybe should consider singing Great is Thy Faithfulness/Rainbow in that key every now and then
She just got done singing at my Grandmother's homegoing... She is Amazing... I mean Amazing.... She song of comfort truly did just that.. I love her...

Lol. Chest voice and head voice are terms used to classify different voice productions. But it's not that relevant. She is anointed indeed. I'm confident she will forever sing for the Lord. If you still care what head voice or chest voice means I can explain it to you
