blendermarket.com/products/particle-city-tutorial This one is great! He also has a lot of great free content on his youtube channel: ru-vid.com/show-UCXguhzOm29mBTYDuxKjxn5Avideos

It looks like Iridesium just released a black hole tutorial... Mainly I'd recommend just watching some Ian Hubert. He's fast, but if you pause the video, you'll actually learn a ton. : ) Also he has a sense of humor, so you're not bored out of your mind watching a tutorial. XD

This guy has amazing rigging tutorials along with other stuff. Short, easy to digest videos that solve very difficult problems for beginners and experts alike. Great learning resource. ru-vid.com/show-UC2U5mRfclG1Rrr1ztNkpGKA

There's guy called Zerobio that does a lot of sci fi modeling in blender. He talks out loud the whole time which shows a lot of thought process and what goes on in someone's mind when they are modeling.

I am currently developing a full-scale game in pure ASM (because contrary to conventional wisdom the speed improvements are staggering). What the Blender community seems to have "fallen into" is massively inspiring. So much cooperation, give-and-take, and so much amazing talent in so many areas. Not a day goes by when I don't appreciate all of it. And this video is just one more example of how awesome the entire Blender world is.

Yes, I'm surprised it's not included in the video. It's been helping me a ton and I think it will be for a long time
@CurtisHolt
@CurtisHolt 4 года назад
Every time I make one of these videos, there's an invevitable amount of 'why isn't this included' comments. Several possible reasons: I didn't know about it, I hadn't investigated it / had never spoken to the creators, I didn't think it was enough to recommend, or I didn't think it fit into the video. In this case I had not investigated it, so could not give a genuine recommendation.

Grant Abbitt has a pretty good character sculpting course too if anybody's interested in going that direction. And, Curtis I think it might have an affiliate option too ;)

Gleb Alexandrov and Aidy Burrows uploaded a few samples from their newest course "50 modelling issues from Hell" on their RU-vid channels recently and they're really good, I don't own the actual course but judging by the quality of these free tutorials it seems like a good deal. Edit: Just remembered, in the topic of texturing, I believe Quixel Mixer is definitely worth a look into, it's still no Substance but it's a pretty powerful and (most importantly) *free* alternative. Didn't search for an actual course but they just recently uploaded some fundamental tutorials and tips on how to use it and honestly it's pretty incredible what you can achieve with it. (and they get some bonus points for promoting Blender haha).

Thank you. Great information. I see all your links are to gum road where possible. Having purchased from gum road, blender market and Udemy, is there an advantage to one over another when courses are found on multiple sites? Do some reward the creator more?
@CurtisHolt
@CurtisHolt 4 года назад
Yes, Gumroad has the highest commision rate, meaning the creator keeps more of the revenue compared to all of the other platforms.
