@@Ultra_Sauce when did he actually rip people off? If there was a problem, it was fixed. The only time I can think of where it wasn't possible to make right after they screwed up was the Monoblock.
Man, I hope they buff mechs, something like an increase in health, or a slow regen for the rocket count would do wonders, something to make them viable for how little you get to use them
Mr. Pileistedt is basically the grandfather of Helldivers, both from a creative, design, and technical perspective. I hate creating an expectation that things will be better, but I think that's natural just based on everything we know and heard directly from this guy. Brighter days ahead!
Thank you for accurately covering what’s going on instead of baiting drama for views. There’s alot of people using this situation for exactly that, when the reality is it’s nothing but good news. Johan is still chairmen/owns the company. He can fire the CEO if he ever needed to. However Jorjani is a good friend of his so I trust his decision
So while Arrowhead CEO is realizing that he doesn’t want to do so much of the business side but more of the gaming side and stepping down to let someone else in, Xbox is closing four studios that actually did some good for them. Weird.
@@itseasymode it was a contractual issue. Arrowhead didn't use any lawyers when signing or reading the contract and basically handed creative control over to Paradox. On Arrowhead really, but still crummy by Paradox. That's why Arrowhead ended up working with Sony instead. I'll link the video essay I heard all this on. Better than me paraphrasing it (and probably mis-paraphrasing 😆).
@@user-bw4jm1bv1i Oh that's super interesting. Thanks for letting me know! That's weird because the new Arrowhead CEO (previous Paradox CEO) is apparently close friends Pilestedt and he was offered the job over lunch.
@@itseasymodeyeah, I'm guessing it was probably more Paradox higher ups at the time or their legal team. It's a pretty interesting story of how they got started though.
They better hurry up and fix the weapons. Because it's making the player base to drop off. We don't like it when we're having fun and you decide. Hey, they're having too much fun with the tools we gave them. Let's make them suck.
Clearly defined weapon classes and being everything UP to a usable level should be the goal... Like the best grenade launcher should be some kind of grenade launcher not a sniper rifle, the best sniper rifle shouldn't have even been a short gun, and so on...
They're drumming out all the people obsessed with META that ruin every game. Player base is dropping off because everyone has played it over and over again and its repetitive, they got their fill and are bored of the same thing.
You realize that this is likely a response to the PSN fiasco that was really just a bunch of people who didn't read the agreement and then blamed Sony.
They need to stop nerfing guns based on what a small percentage of the players say. PvE. Will never be hard. PvE means predictable attacks and that equals to easy to figure out counters. This game is supposed to be fun not a sweat showroom. If you want a hard game go play against other people where there’s no way to tell what they’ll do next. PvE will only be hard if you aren’t able to defend against the enemies and that in my opinion means a frustrating and annoying gameplay.
pilsted himself says that he feels the second something is fun the fun is being removed and that he wants to change that. So there is hope that they will actually just buff bad guns and leavegood guns as they are
What they dont understand is that the massive success HD2 gain is not just the shift from top down stick shooter to 3d, its the independent action you can do, you can explore solo, run the other objectives you want without being screen restricted by HD1. THAT INDEPENDENT ACTION is now being shit upon by making guns pea shooters because the dev has the same mentality in HD1 that we need to group up, though theres nothing wrong with that its just that they need to adapt to what people wants if they want to retain the player base. Replace the balancing team, the patrol spawn update where there is more enemies the less you group up being reverted back speaks volume that they dont understands players frustration on this matter, they are indeed taking the fun out of this game.
@@sttabers8257 did you even read into the discussion in the slightest? They are absolutely aware of the issues. you don't need to replace a whole team they just need to approach it differently wich they will be apparently doing
They should make it so that you can customize the arms of the mech so maybe instead of a gun and rockets you could do a gun and auto cannon or a auto cannon and shocker gun
It's a them problem. Unless the allow psn then they won't be playing. Rules are rules and those countries to blame. But honestly, I couldn't care any less about the woes of pc players. All get what ya deserve.
@@TheHellish it isn't the players faults that they can't get psn in their countries. Since it doesn't require a psn account to play they should be able to play, the fact that they can't play is unfair and just Sony being spiteful
While it is I still think the game will be awesome, if it doesn't work out people don't play which then they'll be forced to fix it, if we like it keep it rollin. Win win either way.
qasnt eruptor with a strange bug with its secundary damage going directly at the player? i remember someone saying the explosion buff and negating this other damage was temporary until they know how to fix it and bring it back
so, sony is replacing the CEO with a suit from paradox, and that's good for the player base how? we are going to get paradox style dlc and monetization...
Apparently the new CEO is actually a personal friend of the old one. But....tbh I didn't think of the Sony side of things when I first heard this.... I certainly hope everything they're saying right now is driven from within the company rather than outside it. We will see I suppose
@@angryfoxzd5233APCs are a buggy are in the game files already. it’s very possible that the vehicles we can see wrecks from in the map will be added later
I highly doubt that will happen. Apparently Pilestedt and the new CEO we're already good friends, and are on the same page when it comes to the way they run things. Also, he can just fire the new CEO if the game goes down that route.
Johan having a more devepment role will be good short term scams mcgee or whatever his name is will unfortunately kill the game with aggressive monetization in the long term.
Considering theyve been claiming to already ve listening to community feedback yet keep making the same dumb mistakes has me taking this with a grain of salt. The fact that they claimed the bolt actions shrapnel removal wouldnt change the weapon all that much has me thinking they dont know wtf theyre talking about in their own game
I call bull. No way he's doing this as his own decision. He's being forced to step down, probably for all of the bad PR Sony has received. Just because he wrote a nice corporate letter to explain what the potential change may mean for us, I believe that this is going to be a bad thing for Helldivers.
Nah, I don’t think so. Just looking at his countless community messages, he’s clearly passionate about making games and very apathetic to corporate business. I think this is legit
Why does everyone try and blame Sony over everything bad now? Hell, now we’re talking the good and acting like it’s bad and Sony’s fault. It was one thing and they haven’t done wrong since.
@@MujoKujo It’s less a matter of racism and more racial profiling. A lot of Middle Eastern cultures place a higher value on making and maintaining money than anything else. Middle Eastern people I've worked for have affirmed this. So it is easy to assume a Middle Eastern CEO will follow similar rules. That said, I don't know anything about the man or his upbringing so it wouldn't be right to write him off.
@@MujoKujo nah bro you're just ignorant. Spies and undercovers are a real thing. Sadly you think this world is all butterflies and rainbows. Sorry to rain on your parade, I stand by what I say regardless you call me racist. Take some real life experience then come back to me
Yeah well when your strategy to nerf weapons even when they are not over powered but just because people like it and use it is mixed with no clearly defined weapon classes for example the best grenade launcher shouldn't be a sniper rifle and the best sniper rifle shouldn't be a shotgun and so on... All you are doing is just turning everything into a hot fart and killing the game. And then having all of your new content just being the same wet hot fart garbage in new packaging that doesn't even look good... I really hope this new patch isn't just another running down your leg getting your socks wet shart...
If you are talking about the eruptor I’ll say it was fine before the shrapnel nerf. It was good against medium target and had excellent stopping power which is what I expect from an explosive sniper round. After th shrapnel was taken out it became useless since not only do you have to use stalwart as your main, it could no longer handle medium bugs efficiently. Low ammo and no capacity to control medium targets make it a useless weapon. I started running the AMR as a replacement and it’s not nearly as satisfying. The slugger was great before they took away the stall factor. This game isn’t PvP it’s PvE and for that reason it will never be hard unless they make every gun useless. PvE means predictable attacks and that equals to easy counters.
A big reason people, imo still play is to support a passion project game. Yes their isn't a lot of but at least it isn't a soulless cash grab like the other 90% of AAA games. You also have to remember this is a live service game meaning as time goes by their will be more content. It's kind of like how warframe started out. It started out pretty simple but as the years progressed we got free roam areas, factions, sports, necromechs, ect., the point is people are rallying behind a game that promotes much needed change in the gaming community. In an era of micro transaction and loot drops, helldivers 2 represents an era where games are fun and don't cost money afterwards If you don't want it too.
Still more than any triple A studio would do. The only reason COD still lives is because people have come to accept garbage as long as others accept it
@@Un_Named05 Without a doubt you're right. Everything spiraled out of control, the ship started to right itself, and then Sony double downed on it. Like come on, it's a game about working together, and they want to take people away. Dumbest decision ever.
The game died after PlayStation tried to make its update no joke the whole game works like dog shit I thought it was okay at first and then it just went so far downhill where you might as well just uninstall it because amount of times that you will have to reset just because the game decided to kick you from the server whether you are the host or not shows that this has no quality anymore no actual care nothing it is going to die horribly because of Sony Sony will also be disappearing because of their stupid mistakes throughout the many years since PS2
This is super awesome. Arrowhead has theres struggles, but they continue to show effort and are doing their best. Gotta remind ourselves they arent the size of a tripple AAA studio
