Great News, Lucy Is Not Blind Yet !

In the previous video, we mentioned that Lucy was blind, but that’s not the case. We have confirmed that, although she clearly has vision loss in both eyes, she can see lights and shapes well enough to avoid bumping into things all the time. We are still searching for a good neurologist to perform the surgery for her hydrocephalus.

I don’t think that Victor or Isadore have implied that they have been able to save her site, but merely that she has some residual vision left. They have not stated in this video whether they will be able to gain any further improvement in her eyesight but Victor did say in a previous video that the damage done so far is permanent so that implies that the small amount of vision that she has now is probably all she will have in the future. This may not be the case and hopefully some gains may occur after they drain the fluid and I hope that is the case but From what Victor has said, sadly I do not believe so.❤❤❤🙌🏻

@@rosemarygraham2815 En effet, comme l'indique le titre de la vidéo, Lucy ne sera pas totalement aveugle. C'est en ce sens que j'ai écrit, avec optimisme, que sa vue était sauvée. Et l'opération qu'elle devra subir un peu plus tard, l'aidera peut-être encore.... qui sait ? Je préfère regarder le verre à moitié plein plutôt qu'à moitié vide !

I donated for her after the first video. At that time I thought I saw some vision in her right eye. I'm so glad that she can see. I guess now we'll await any surgery she'll need in the future. I'm so happy for her.

Lucy is such a sweet, pretty girl!! Good news that she isn't totally blind and that doctor is optimistic about her vision. You can tell by the way she moves around things that she does have some vision. Except, if course the windows do fool her which is understandable. Hopefully, more vision will be restored, maybe not completely, after surgery. Hopefully, she will be old enough soon for that. Thank you to all that is/will be involved in her care.❤❤❤

I worked with children with hydrocephalus when I was in college. There was improvement in their overall health when they had the shots surgically implanted to drain the excess fluid. I assume they would use a similar process for canines and felines. Thank you for taking such good care of our furry family.

This is good news Lucy isn't blind. She is navigating her way around the clinic. Thank you Viktor for helping her. Is it her hydrocephalus pressing on her brain, eap optic nerves. Viktor you had me laughing today! Its like my house the damn flies, and barking dogs, but the reason there are so many flies inside is the dogs have learned how to open the back door themselves. So Im not right there to close it they run in letting in millions of bugs behind them. The dogs can be very quiet all day, but it never fails if Im on the phone or trying to read something important on here they start barking, and creating chaos. Life with dogs never a dull minute!
