One of the most famous events in the British running calendar, the Great North Run, celebrated its 43rd birthday by accepting the prestigious World Athletics Heritage Plaque!
As part of the festivities, I grabbed one of the limited tickets to witness the presentation, enjoy some birthday cake and meet Sir Brendan Foster at the @GreatRunTV HQ!
After the formalities, @HiiRunOfficial took everyone out for a 'Shakeout Run' along the Quayside. It was an honour to be part of and even more exciting ahead of the Great North Run in September...
