My mom gave me two bags of northern beans and I was at a loss for what to do with them. Followed your recipe but instead of smoked turkey used smoked neck bones. Came out absolutely delicious. Great idea with the sofrito. I thought it might be too strong but it just added extra flavor. Amazing. Thank you again!

There just isn’t a big enuf like button on here to adequately describe how much I want to make these beans. OMG! Simple, clean, rustic dish like you might get in Italy or somewhere. The sauce/gravy is thick and unctuous, the beans are creamy & tender, and I love the idea of using the smoked turkey instead of the usual ham hock. WOW Chef, home run really Just beautiful. 👏👏👏👏👏

I would say cook it for the same amount of time, taste it and cook longer if needed.

That is an old time favorite meal here Tovia. And this is a great version. Using the pressure cooker makes everything so much easier! I can even smell and taste that wonderful flavor just by watching. I love it!

It's been a long time since I had Beans and Corn Bread. I think most people eat that with Ham but I don't eat pig. Maybe I will have to build me a smoker so I can smoke some turkey legs.
