Thanks for the video... good content and the right duration. I just picked up a micro 3.0 and am heading to Belize. I couldn't afford the sea dragon light at this moment so I appreciate seeing the shots without the light.

How did your trip go? How’s the video stabilization? I use a GoPro hero 8 right now and I’m looking for better photo features. Happy with the GoPro video and stabilization though.

Hi Loving your videos just bought the micro 3.0. I was wondering why you opted for the 3000 lights which if I understand it is a Photo/Video light so a good deal more costly than the 2000 which is just video light. There's no way of using the photo strobe on the 3000 with the Micro 3.0 so why pay for the additional feature. What am I missing? Thanks :)

The 3000 lumen lights are quite a bit more powerful and that does extend the lights color impact.

Hello! We discontinued the SeaLife DC2000, the micro 3.0 is the best option - however it will not work with a strobe, only continuous lights like the Sea Dragon.

Great video! How’s the video stabilization compared to a GoPro 8/9?
@sealifecameras
@sealifecameras 3 года назад
Comparatively very good, however underwater video shooting has less high frequency movement or vibration and really depends more on the basics of smooth, slow pans, steady approach and basic composition. We cover these topics with our pros and are happy to assist any of our owners. Thanks for the question!

Thank you for this amazing video. So I never set the white balance on my camera. Do I do this right before I dive using a white piece of cardboard? Or do it manually as you did. Also, I’m diving in Washington state. Our sandy bottom isn’t very white.So should I use the cardboard? And is this done generally once? Or should you set the white balance before every dive? Thanks!

You can experiment easily by simply taking the photos several times with different wb settings

@@sealifecameras But should I reset the white balance before every dive?
@sealifecameras
@sealifecameras 3 года назад
@@providencephelps1497 you should based on the conditions or depths, once in the water it’s very easy to make a wb adjustment for changing conditions

Maybe I missed it. How do you offset the red spectrum below 15’?
@sealifecameras
@sealifecameras 2 года назад
There are several underwater scene settings or you can manually adjust white balance. Best is to use a good light like the sea dragon 2500 or 3000.

how long does it take for the camera to write a burst of 3/5/10 raw still phots to the memory, before the camera is ready to shoot again?
@sealifecameras
@sealifecameras 3 года назад
Hi Stefano, about 2-3 seconds time to be ready to resume shooting.

@@sealifecameras thank you, so faster than a GoPro Hero 8? I breath hold when i dive, so seconds are important.

I will be shooting in Sicily, at the beach, bright sand and full blast on the sun. To photograph someone in a white t-shirt, exposure becomes ISO 100, shutter 1/125, F:22 (I have plenty of experience with this place). Thew camera has a fixed F:2.8 which, converted to the above beach-scene requests a shutter speed of 1/8000, but the camera does not go any further than 1/200 = a two stop overexposure. Or what haven't I caught on to? Is there a solution?
@sealifecameras
@sealifecameras 2 года назад
Hi! The Micro 3.0 auto exposure program will automatically adjust the shutter speed and exposure gain according to light conditions. The exposure gain is a background exposure program that cannot be manually controlled. The beach photo you described above should result in proper exposure. I hope this information helps. Please try it and let us know if you have any questions.
