Hello friends! I was going to release this in the morning (Sunday) but wasn't able to get this week's commentary exported in time to release tonight, so, here is the Adventure video. Tomorrow morning you can enjoy the commentary. This week it will be on Authenticity and Living Your Truth. Enjoy.

How mesmerizing, the sand sliding down the dunes and blowing in the breeze. Magical.

It's interesting to see how the sand moves about.

Would love to do a long road trip in the US one day. Did Quebec-Vermont in autumn many years ago, absolutely breathtaking, loved it tremendously. Safe travels, Scott and Heather

Thank you both for sharing such a great stop! It is so inviting and serene with the Fall colors, Zapata Creek and the dunes. I am always amazed with the footage you produce with only iPhones! My daughter and I just returned from an extended weekend up north enjoying the colors and solitude around Flagstaff. We booked the Lupine yurt at Nordic village and had a fabulous time! We hiked to the summit of Kendrick Peak and enjoyed amazing views! Take care always 😊

Those falls are so neat!!! We looked at some properties in this area. We went up to the campground but there were so many mosquitos we couldn't even get out of the car. That road still bumpy? That road was something else!!! We camped in the campground right before you go into the dunes. I never got out and walked on the dunes, too exhausted from house hunting. I guess if I ever go back i need to take some boots to see that falls.
@4XPEDITION
@4XPEDITION Год назад
Yes! The hike is very short and very little elevation gain. The roads are ALL paved now. In fact, some of the roads are freshly paved. The road up to the falls campground is paved. It's out there. Heather and I were wondering what would prompt someone to live out that far. The San Luis Valley is vast. I know some people who live in Crestone. We visited there to check it out. That town is remote, too.

Okay, after seeing this, definitely adding the Zapata Creek hike to my to-do list!!

You should! And, if you have the energy, hike up to the lake above it!

@@thinde88 Hmm... well, there are some benefits to zero building codes, too, I guess. We haven't been up to La Veta Pass yet.

Zapata Falls is my favorite place out there. Next time take your shoes off and walk up the stream to the falls even further. Water shoes or keen type sandals are the best. You are near our property we own that is at 10,000 feet just to the south.

Wow. I loved that falls. I can't imagine how wonderful that would be in the heat of the summer, although I'm sure the water is frigid year round.
@gowest5145

@@Pack.Leader In the summer there are mosquitos galore there, at least when we were there. We couldn't even get out of our vehicle, it was so bad and I really wanted to see the falls.

@@gowest5145 Oh no ! That would ruin it. That's one of the things I love about living in the desert in NM. No mosquitoes so nights can truly be enjoyed. The sky was exquisite last night.
