GREAT SOUNDING FILTER! 

I was looking for a great sounding low pass filter. Like in an oldschool analogue way. Warm and cut well through a mix. Not 100s of features, just pure sound. Your demo convinced me to get Z2040. Thank you, a really good review (without "sponsored by", just showing the audio). It's one of the modules which stays in my rack for sure.

7:02 "anything with a feedback loop" - Would you need a delay with sophisticated send and return pots for the internal feedback for this, or could you take just any delay, deactivate its own internal feedback loop by turning the feedback knob for it down and instead build a feedback loop outside of the module on your own? Just mult the output of the delay, filter it and mix it in again at the input of the delay. Using the mixer to attenuate how much feedback there is, acting like the feedback knob that delays have. Wouldn't the resulting sound be the exact same or am I missing something here?

God, this thing takes modulation EXTREMELY well. I'm conflicted; on the one hand, thes (and ro many other great simple filters in the same HP-category) sounds incredible. But on the other hand, we are so spoiled for choice with great filters even smaller-some in stereo even!-but at this pricepoint... I don't know what else would fairly count as competitive all things considered for dedicated LP/BP real-estate on my first small rack of ~74hp where every bit counts! (although my case would have a 1U row, as well)
