More here funnyvi.com/great-street-music... This is one street musician I've captured at Frankfurt am Main. His performance is incredible! You can find more information about the performer here: www.theartoffusion.com / theartoffusion
I saw him. Several years ago I was in Franfurt am Main .... one evening I walked down the street and tune created by the street musicians grabbed my inner world .... This musician deserves a monument and orderly benefits!
This is Stellar, the fact that with Human imagination and expression that we can make even one of the coldest and hardest minerals sing in a way unique only to its cosmic composition and incarnation.
I think he's doing a pretty good job , intermediate level. It would take me forever to get the "hang" of the hang. Yes, Waples and Hang Massive and Swarup are the masters, but they've been at it for several years and are very gifted. Not only do you have to have a good ear and be inventive, it seems you have to be a great percussionist like the top three groups are.
Hitman-the- Hacker Dang, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. It takes a long time to make one, which is why they're so expensive. It's a pretty simple process, the only reason they're so expensive is because they're usually hand-made.
So much negativity... I think people are just jealous because this guy gets to live off of what he loves doing, and all of you people need to get up early to get to their boring, meaningless job in time, so that they can be slaves for the rest of their lives.
Also these Hang drums run around $800.00 a piece. And he's got a small bands worth of them. I'll admit. I'm kind of jealous. I've been trying to save up for one.
William Merzlak I'd love to have one too. But I'm gonna use my street musician money to save up for a semi acoustic guitar first, so that I have an instrument I can actually play to use when making music and stuff :P
+Fantastick Rose my dad works at one of those meaningless desk jobs and is his own boss. He earns more than you will make in a decade, in a year. He loves doing why he does for a living so don't go around saying that garbage.
some of you people seriously.. maybe he's poor and living on the streets because he bought the hangdrums and lost his job. I mean.. seriously.. life isn't static, any rich man can instantly become poor due to an unexpected turn of events.
Are there any? It seems like the only people who play them have so little to offer that they have to rely on the novelty of having an instrument that looks like a flying saucer.
knupder What?? Do you know Manu Delago? Look up his famous music "Mono Desire". His album "Made in Silence" is beautiful and he has great work with other musicians as well.
Like I said... Those things are tuned so that it's damned near impossible not to do something melodious. It's a good buy if you need a drum circle trick, but impressing most people with a musical instrument is pretty easy. People don't know crap about music whether they're into Miley Cyrus or into some ultra-obscure band/rapper/dj and bitch about people who like Miley Cyrus.
You said someone that knew nothing about this could do it in a couple of days. Like I said, you've had four months. Would you like to post a video of your performance?
When i watch this video first time i was 15 in 2009, sometimes through the years i revisited some videos and this special one and other with this instrument makes me feel a little bit dizzy, don't know why i have a nostalgia feeling in a way that i become part of this videos. hahahahaha Thanks for post it.
the hang drum is a beautiful instrument. i wish i could afford to buy one and make such good music. props from a fellow musician, love what he is doing
