It really is interesting TBH. Like, the concept behind creating the song seems to have been "what if Temple in Melee had an alternate musical track from its own series" and the results are really cool

unfortunately, being a mascot is about appealing to absolutely everyone... and as amazing as Zelda is, it's just not the right kind of game or story to be anywhere near as universal as Mario is. i do deeply prefer Zelda to Mario, but i understand the idea here

Good games but the company aint so great tbh

Everyone knows who he is, but not everyone knows the difference between him and Zelda. I even confused Link for Zelda. Mario is simply more marketable because he can appeal to anyone and his games are simple and easy to get the hang of. Not everyone knows exactly where to go even if the puzzles are what might as well be elementary level. I'm not trying to talk crap about Zelda; I love the series. But if more people know who Mario is compared to Link, then people will likely play Mario games due to the fact he's a familiar character.

It even played in the Melee Temple stage in Brawl. Loved that game. My first exposure to Smash, and to many of Nintendo's other franchises outside Mario😅

It's a remix of the final dungeon music (Great Temple) from Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link, with a bit of the regular dungeon music (or Palaces) added to it. I think that version was first heard in Brawl but I'm not 100% sure...

This remix was made in Brawl for Melee's Temple stage, it's a remix of both Great/Final Temple and regular Temples in Zelda 2.

I hate how Zelda 2 was completely ostracized due to its level of challenge. God forbid a game make you work for the spoils of victory.

@@joshyjosh1990 the issue is that the challenge isn't fair a lot of the time, that's why zelda 2's "challenge" is looked down upon. and this is coming from a zelda 2 enjoyer that beat the game
