On this Season Four premiere episode, I make my way to Smith Rock State Park, near Bend, Oregon. It's a two and a half hour drive from my house, so I arrive just in time to watch a hoard of humans descend onto the area like locust attacking a wheat field. Luckily I'm able to grab one of the last parking spots right before I make my way up to Misery ridge, which is aptly named both for the difficult ascent to get to it, and for the number of tourists who are on the trail with me.
Along my way down the path, I take in some great views, see some beautiful geology, and scream, cry, and rant over the park's horrible people infestation.
