To everyone concerned about the shark’s health; when sharks bite people they do it to check, whether we’re prey, or really just food in general. They usually decide we’re not and just leave us alone after biting once. Considering this, I’m pretty sure when the shark notices there isn’t any blood coming out of its prey, and it doesn’t taste like a seal at all, it’ll let it go immediately. It’s not going to eat something that doesn’t taste like food. As for the people saying it’s a waste of the sharks energy, yeah I can’t really argue with that.

Lesson here; DO NOT jet ski, or water ski, or boogy board , or tubing ,pretty much dont do anything that requires being drug behind a boat in these areas, Ecspecially at sunrise😂🦈

I think you didn’t hear him right, he said robo as in a robotic seal not just a plain old rubber seal, hence 10k for a robotic seal doesn’t seem as far fetched
The great thing about RU-vid is that you can just speed up to 6:30 and ignore this stupid-ass tv-showlike talking that Discovery always did instead of going straight to answer or action when you used to watch their shoes on TV

highly intelligent creature - while I do agree its rude and they should be more mindful - that thing knows what it can eat! and it can sure as hell spit it out! it isnt just "oh I bit it im gonna swallow"....chances are he took a bite and spit it right back out
That was amazing I love sharks and they have a Finesse a bout them it's amazing because an eagle does the same thing but from the sky but uses it's talons instead of it's jaws
Depends on the material but usually its made out of rubber or cloth like material that will not stick into the shark gums or if accidentally ingested the shark can easily vomit it out. A cheap useful one is simply a rubber mat shaped like a seal. Sharks have excellent tasting senses in almost every filmed breech attack you see the shark let go of the object meaning between the time of the breech to its eventual return to water the shark has already recognized the object as a fake. Interestingly there are reports of sharks continuing to attack the fake seals in more attempted breech attacks and we know great whites are intelligent enough to actually know and learn, yet there is evidence some of its visually seen of whites playing with prey meaning that the sharks still attacking the fake seals was playing with a non dangerous object or training itself to be a better hunter almost like a boxer or fighter hitting a sand bag or object to hone his skills.
