This is one of the best Wuxia scenes you've ever seen? Seriously? There are about a billion wuxia battle scenes better than this one. My favorite is Donnie Yen vs Jet Li in HERO. One of the finest choreographed fights ever filmed.

Unfortunately, Donnie took down a bit of his armor, but that general really sent all of his men to defeat only one warrior. What a coward.

An absolutely epic battle to be judged on a par with the great, legendary fights of mythical figures of famous mythologies like that of Spartan Leonidas against the Persians in Thermopylae

@Philawockeez I'm not saying Donnie's stunts and fight scenes are fake or anything. I was just saying that even a warrior with his talent wouldn't be able to continue on fighting 30 more guys after being speared with an 8" piece of metal. In realism, I mean "Saving Private Ryan" or "Black Hawk Down". Don't get me wrong, Jackie Chan's 80s fight choreography and Donnie's work are my favorites.

Most armor suits in the old days were more useful for stopping slashing attacks. A stab is pretty darn difficult to protect against, no matter what. A kevlar vest for example, will protect pretty well against a bullet, but won't help much against getting stabbed with a knife since it has a much smaller point of impact. Not that it matters to Donnie. He'll just stab you right back and choke your horse to death.

@TheIpmanFan It literally means "martial fantasy." Like how Western fantasy often has tales of magic, Chinese wuxia has supernatural martial arts. Often, many of the martial arts depicted in these stories are essentially "magic" - some "kung fu" styles allow the user to heal, paralyze, etc... Of course, much of this is based off reality, but like Western fantasy, it's often so blown out of proportion that it no longer bears any resemblance to it.
