On the 8th of August 2024 we went to take a look at the carriage sidings just outside Great Yarmouth station. We had driven past the other side and spotted what looked a lot like an HST power car, so we had to go and see more. Parking up in Great Yarmouth we walked under the road bridge, along a path called the Werryman's Way to the other side of the railway yard and from here we launched our drone to get a good look at what was stored in the sidings. There was a lot to see! In addition to no fewer than six HST powercars in 3 different liveries, there was a pair of class 08 diesel shunters, a class 82 DVT, 3 Bagnall shunters and a lot of other coaching stock and a multiple unit. What can you spot? Let us know in the comments.

Wow, that is one comprehensive looking siding Simon! It's interesting to have siding's chocked with old trains, either to be donated for preservation, scrap or even be reused for something else. It is a clever way of what railway companies can do when recycling their old trains. Great to see that there are still a couple of HST power cars are still here as well as a couple of diesel shunters and a couple of mark 1 coaches in the mix too. Also, excellent drone footage Micheal. Since it is an authorized personal only site, the footage from up in the air is very interesting to see. It looks as if it's like a bird's eye view of a model railway. Keep your steam up Simon and you too Micheal. Take care Kevig

Thanks Kevig. The drone is great for getting a view of places you can't normally see. I was in the area back in November 2023 and there was a class 31 diesel there too then, but I didn't have the drone.

I went there, and unfortunately probably saw 43006 for the last time! ☹️ The other coaches I can see are: Greater Anglia Mk3's Caledonian sleeper Mk2 & Mk3's One Rail Mk2's First great Western Mk3's LNER Mk3's And that's all! Great video! 🙂
