This is a full walking tour from Great Yarmouth Town Centre and South Quay to Britannia Pier, along the seafront and Great Yarmouth beach, past all the amusement arcades, shops hotels and attractions and down to the Pleasure Beach.
Great Yarmouth, on the east coast of England, is a classic seaside resort town brimming with vibrant energy and family fun. Classic British seaside charm. We start our walking tour in Great Yarmouth Town Centre for a look around to see what is here, what life is really like here and what shops there are.
The golden sands of Great Yarmouth beach are a magnet for sunbathers and sandcastle architects.Donkey rides, paddling pools, and amusement arcades complete the quintessential seaside experience. For a touch of history, hop on a traditional landau carriage for a nostalgic tour.

I practically grew up in Gt Yarmouth as my parents took us all there every year, sometimes twice. Such fond memories there. I miss it so much.

Love great Yarmouth many holidays as a nipper and I'm actually moving down there shortly to start my new chapter in life , all the memories that are sadly no longer ther , the jetty , wax works , logflume and many others are missed but I'm very excited about my life by the sea :)

Hello matey I am Chris from Ilkeston Derbyshire. I first started watching your videos in lockdown been watching ever since, I think your terrific , the way you do it is unique, love some of the background music. Anyway I absolutely love Great Yarmouth , me and my wife Julie have been every year since 2004, we have stayed at The Kensington Hotel, The Knights Court, and most recently The Furzedown all recommended i may add. If I am exrremely fortunate I would really like to end my days looking out to sea at Great Yarmouth. Hope to buy you a coffee one day take care

My wife liked Yarmouth and we saw Cannon & Ball on the pier , no fair rides as were over 60 & 70 year old's and can't get out and about now so we watch your program , thank you Arthur.

Thank you for producing a video showing such an extensive part of Great Yarmouth! It really looks like a well maintained place with lots of flower displays and tree and shrub planting along the sea front (Blackpool and Skegness take notice!!!) It was a shame to see Victoria Arcade with so many empty units and I agree that the council should encourage lots of independent businesses into these units. An increase in the local resident population (which is required in all our seaside resorts to make them viable for the future) would see places like the Victoria Arcade thrive in the coming years. The same could be said for the beautiful, but for the moment, neglected Winter Garden. It’s been in this state, with plans on the table for its refurbishment for years and with little sign of anything happening so I’m not hopeful in seeing anything happening soon - such a shame! Personally I think it would make a fantastic Tropical World/Butterfly House, housing all sorts of exotic plants and animals, complimenting the SeaLife centre along the road. Great Yarmouth is nowhere near the worst seaside resort in the country, in fact, looking at your video, I’d say it’s one of the best. The secret is to keep those standards up and to improve where necessary in a way that doesn’t detract from what you already have! Thanks again for such an in depth video.👍🏻

Well, the tide was coming in when you were down at the Quay, so you took your time getting to the sea front for the tide to be out at the beach...🤣🤣 I used to live in Yarmouth and will be coming home in a few weeks to see the old place. Bringing the family so I can show the kids where I grew up.

Love GY. Plenty of things to do for all ages. Merrivale Model village is worth a visit, really well kept with some great quirky scenes. Was down on the seafront recently when the Wheels festival was on. This vid was one of your best 👌 Looking forward to where you go next!

Peak season😮 I remember walking along the shops and it was so packed you couldn't browse, I bought a pair of cowboy boots for line dancing, and seen the grumble weeds, and canon and ball. Went for many years stopping at Vauxhall. What's happend to England 😢 great video thank you very much👍

I think the holiday seasons have moved now due to cost of living crisis to pretty much just the six weeks school holidays only That is what I’m seeing in each seaside town currently

Merrivale is lovely. They have an old penny arcade (you can buy pre-decimal pennies to use) and they recently installed retro arcade games - Space Invaders etc.
